I'd rather have Hinge and Bracket, than our current incumbents

| Id rather have Ratchford on the bench as utility back and 3 forwards.
Ratchford comes into his own when defences begin to tire.
So bring him on fresh to a point where within the first 20 mins we have sourced an area of weakness.
Its not a demotion in my eyes to put him on the bench, its a strategic move and use of his versatility.
Oh....and buy Danny Brough or Kevin Brown to plug that void of a lack of gobbing off and pinpoint kicking that we are lacking.

| If Myler isn't good enough to be one of our starting halfbacks, then get rid. Hooker is far too important a position these days to have a make-do-and-mend option there, and whilst Myler may have good defence for a halfback playing hooker fulltime is a different ball game.
As for Ratchford I've said all along that he has yet to convince during his Wires career at stand-off and I'm still waiting.

| With Grix injured why not try Ratchford at loose & bring GOB back in to the halves for the Widnes game. I think he would have better mobility there than Harrison.

Worth considering but minus Westwood, Evans, Wood and Grix that pack is beginning to look very lightweight. As for GOB I think TS waited for the chance to drop him, got it, seized it with considerable zeal and the door is now closed.

| Never in the memory of man is Harrison a loose forward ,he is a prop. I think on recent showing though Ratchford needs to be up in attack more as a receiver of the ball than a provider of the ball because he doesn't seem to like passing.

| Hence why I prefer him to come off the bench so with s broken defence he wouldn’t have to provide so much.

| A big bold change is required.....
I'm putting my head in position now on the chopping block.
I know there is one player in our team that is,(quote Ray French)"very very" capable of doing the job we require at no6.
I'm holding back because I can almost sense the backlashing I'm gonna get.
Chris Bridge...said it.
He has every quality needed at six. Throw Evans in a right centre put Ratchford on the bench.
Its radical but also safe.
I saw what Bridge did V Bradford when Briers went off and we were as good as beaten.
Briers looked at his best when Bridge was at his side.
Ok I'm ready to take the stand m'lord. In my defence your honour it's no more radical than putting Myler at no9 as keeps getting touted about.

RD that is awful....
If I was Tony Smith at half time I would have said to chris Bridge "if Your boot touches that ball in open play again i'll rip the fecker off at the ankle joint, you are not a tactical kicker of the ball never have been never will be."
I would have then said "you are also Not a playmaker never have been never will be, today you are playing wing/centre with joel Monaghan run at defenders and try and get past them with your pace and good footwork"
Bridge is never ever a stand off he is simply not intelligent enough nor does he posses the required skills.
He is in the last chance saloon as a centre/wire player as it is, he should never be switched to 6, ever
oh And I thought public enemies 1 and 2 Myler and Atkins were our best players

| Blimey, it's like the last days of Pompeii on here. People running around in increasingly decreasing and desperate circles scrambling for solutions to problems that need never have occurred.
Sadly, the only people who can provide a solution (the club, and the coaching staff specifically) seem quite happy with how things are "progressing".
Oh what a lovely war.

| Those saying his kicking game was better than usual? I mean it's usually average at best but tonight it was horrendous. Don't try and give him credit for two tries, they were simple support play. He should be leading the team round the park, and at the minute they all look lost and as though they don't know each other. we have serious problems and the attitude is awful, the players don't look like they care how they play, maybe they know their positions are safe.
Fully expecting two defeats over Easter, paper over the cracks in the CC then get knocked out the quarters unless we get the best draw available

| We've tried bridge in the halves and it didn't work out.He held onto the ball too long. Bridge is a centre. He was briefly tried at fullback but got injured I think. Technically it's our tactical kicking that's my big concern. Followed by lack of threat in the final 10m.

Totally disagree. Bridge was great at 6.
His problems lay off the field.

| Bridge plays 4 well as has Dave Whittle, John Woods, Phil Blake, Jonathan Davis and Jamie Lyons did at Saints. All of them are stand offs that played right centre like a hybrid of the two.

You're wrong
WRONGWRONGWRONG
wrong
You could not be further wrong if you tried.
It is actually worrying that you think he was " great" playing stand off.
He hasn't got the skill set or the brains to be in such a pivotal position, and it scares me whenever I see him run in field with the ball, it genuinely scares me as he's either going to have a brain Fart or do that stupid short flat pass which is either awkward to catch, forward,or he runs into the player on the burst.
He's a centre, he can step, go around people and has a decent pass to a winger.
And that's all there is.
