Wigan and Leeds record against Wire this season is better than against Huddersfield, so WHY would they chose to play Huddersfield which is what is being inferred by some on this thread?

Just to add James Child on RFL Referees ✔ @RFLReferees twitter account admitted that on review he got the last Wigan attempted drop goal call wrong in that it WAS a Hull deliberate charge down and as the ball went dead should have been a Hull drop out from under the posts instead of a twenty metre restart.

Huddersfield will play their first play off game on Thursday 12th, so will have a short turnaround as they don't play their final game at Bradford until Saturday.

Theres alot of bravado from a certain section of the wigan fans about all this.

Basically as soon as they lost a couple and 1st was in doubt, they've decided to toss it off and finish 4th instead so they are rested for the playoffs and can play huddersfield.

They completed the deal by going through the motions last night to secure 4th and now they can blow everyone away in the playoffs and some of their fans are never more certain of winning super league.

I'm not really sure what to make of it, whether they are clutching at straws. But surely no team would want to go into the playoffs on the back of comprehensive home defeat against a rival when recent form has been scratchy at best?
