| I really wish Warrington had a traditional kit which could just be tweaked every season or so. Hoops, chevrons, stripes... I know they have worn all these over the years, it just disappoints me that Wire don't have the same sort of iconic kit as say Saints.

I prefer the version with the collar, but can more than understand why people may groan as the tops aren't identical

Now that would be boring, you only have to look at the majority of Wigans home kits during the last century. Cherry and white hoops, the odd change in width of the hoops and sponsor. Why would fans spend good money each year on a new kit that looked similar to the previous years

| Proper replica kits were available when Canterbury did our kit (no stupid collars!). Its seems that making shirts WITH collars is cheaper for ISC.

Price of fish what's that got to do with the new kits??
I prefer the home kit with the collar on. If they were the same as the players kit I would have gone for the away on but will be going for home one now.

| tried it on yesterday, since starting with ISC I (as a 'solid' gentleman) have had to use the 2XL sizes, for a comfortable fit ie sleeves not being too restrictive.
The XL this year feels a lot roomier, 2XL wasn't a massive difference but, i think i'll probably get an XL this year,
however i'm waiting a few weeks to see what the complaints are like, as always. The sponsors label is stuck on again this year and we know how that peeled off on the 2010 shirts. Hopefully this wont have that issue.

| The collars are put on to make it a more wearable product than a round ish neck top.
I think it is a good idea dont like round neck tops.
The styles are good, not sure if the pot belly will good in the home shirt, might distort the stripes

I agree with you for the adults shirts, but I think the children's shirts would be better with round neck tops - they suit kids more and kids generally expect an exact replica IMO - my young son has asked before why his shirt has a collar and the players' ones don't. I'm also not sure if he absorbed my very brief explanation as to why he doesn't have a Magners logo on his.

Aye, fair enough I suppose. There isn't a style that's demonstrably 'Warrington' though - similarity year on year doesn't stop football fans buying replica tops. Though I'm firmly of the view that replica kits are for kids anyway

| When I first saw the pic of Atkins, Riley and Moz I hated both the kits. Just seen the pic of Chris Riley in the League Express wearing the home kit and for some reason I like it much more than I did originally. Looks like a decent shirt.

| The kits are great IMO. These are the best kits we have had in ages.
I don't care what the replicas look like as I don't buy replicas anyway but sounds like the club is being smart by using the collars to differentiate the products so they can charge different prices. The club wants to be able to identify who the rich customers are and charge them a higher price. But they can't ask people when they walk into the shop who is rich and who isn't. So they produce two pretty much identical products differentiated by a subtle detail (in this case the collar), that will matter enough to customers to make sure they all accept one product as being superior to the other. Then the fans that are richer and bothered enough about the small detail then reveal themselves by choosing the superior product so the club can charge them the higher price. The fans that don't have the same disposable income and don't care so much buy the inferior product with the collar on. If they don't value the inferior product enough to pay the price it's priced at they won't buy it.
If the club has priced the one with the collar too high then they will lose out because people won't buy it but as long as they buy it then the strategy makes sense, even if customers complain about it on the internet.
If you just had one shirt priced the same then you're missing out on the potential income you can get by exploiting the fact some will be willing to pay more for it so buy issuing two versions you increase profits by making those customers reveal their higher willingness to pay by choosing the more expensive shirt.
All sounds sensible to me.

| Not sure if anyone caught the Ben Westwood testimonial shirt but it's very nice:
Quite similar to the one we played in during 2002, Benny's first season with us:
