| I suppose it depends on who you know! unfortunately in the days of us being crap throughout that 10 years without a win against Saints , i happened to be friends with a lot of Saints fans, ever since then beating Saints means 10x more than beating anybody else.

If either of you were languishing at the foot of the table after spending several years outside of the top division then it'd be no 'bigger' of a game than Wire v Widnes is today.

Doesn't seem to be any trace of it online, although someone on here might have a copy. As for the 'who you know' thing, I know a lot of Saints fans and barely any Widnes or Wigan fans but the latter two will always be bigger for me.

| Our traditional rivals are Widnes. Howver I like to beat Saints then Wigan. However the team that I would most hate to lose to is Widnes.....if you see what I mean.

I'm shocked by that to be honest mate, you spend alot of time on their board hugging and kissing them and they pretty much do what they want on here, apart from the odd time when the sheriffs badge is used properly.
I don't actually dislike Wigan as a club. They were a pleasure to watch growing up and that 1994 WCC team was the best team I ever seen. It's their young, idiotic, walking through town centre, ripping off United songs, Rambo wannabe bellends who come on here I can't stand, oh and Rogues.

I expect you hate a lot of Wire fans then because we have plenty of the same kind. That's usually the argument from the Wigan fans why they hate us the most, because of that same demographic of supporter. You tend to turn more of a blind eye to them when they support your own club but they irritate you when they come from other clubs.

| I don't hate any other team beacuse I'm a grown up but, to paraphrase Sean Long, I like to see Wigan's nose rubbed in the s*** at every opportunity. Mainly because when I was little, they were awesome. So destructive were they on my psyche, that I created a Rugby League board game based on dice, just so that I could engineer victories against them. However, as Wigan were the only full time team in those days, I had to use loaded dice for their go so they still beat us. The rotters.
To a lesser extent, widnes, for similar reasons to Wigan. If it wasn't 100% clear how far they have fallen in that "rivalry" then the sight of a young lad in his 20's screaming "WORLD CHAMPS 89" at me near Central Station the other month made sure. Sad. They used to sing "you'll never win f all". When we eventually do win the WCC (and it will happen, obviously) then god only knows what they'll throw at us then.

I have to be diplomatic, plus because i go to bed really late only 3 boards are active, the Wigan, hull and NRL ones, can't talk to myself on here after 0100, i've been reigned in a little too so my digs have to be clever or discreet

| For a time their first team was wholly full time. Unlike ours where the likes of Fozzie, Thornley, Thomas, Lyon etc had other jobs.

I agree with this. I'm really shocked at the amount of people say 'I HATE them' and some people making out like they detest every person from Wigan/saints/ wherever.
I don't hate any fans or any club as every club has good fans and bad ones, and I understand there is a lot of banter on here, but it's no reason to hate people. I can only hope you're exaggerating if you say you 'hate' people.
That said, I'd say you/saints are our biggest rivals (not sure if you think the same).
And I'll be completely honest here and say that Wire are the ONLY team I fear us playing. I always have a bad feeling about losing leading up to playing you. But any other team in the competition I feel confident of beating

I can assure you i am in no way worried. There are the usual doom-mongers on our board, and i'm sure you can find these to justify your argument that we are all about to hang ourselves. But with the players we have coming through, and the cap and quota space we will have, i'm sure we will do our best to give you a game next season.
Is it this or next season? the year of the Wolf?, i get confused.

| Wigan, then Widnes.
When we've beaten Wigan, I'm on cloud 9 for days. When it's Widnes, it's happiness for a good few hours, then forgotten about.
No MASSIVE rivallry after that (for me).
Until the heroic failures started, stretching from the first Super League season (THAT Henare try match), the Stains game was never really that special. In fact, it probably ranked lower than Leigh. The Leigh games got bigger attendances in the early 80's, than the Stains matches did.
