Its the same with any team. A fan will, most of the time, put their team down as playing poorly before giving any credit to the opposition. For example as a Wire fan, did you play poor when you lost to Salford?

i gave salford credit for the win yes , they played the conditions much better than warrington and was more hungry in every aspect of the game , so end of the day they totally out played us same as catalan hull & huddersfield did on one occasion the 1st loss against huddersfield i put that down to injury problems on the day

There is no blanket answer to why teams lost. Could be more on the part of the winner or more on the part of the loser. it would be stupid to allude otherwise; but you knew that.

When we beat leeds last year in the CC we were unbeatable, the same with when we played huddersfield in the cup last year and many other times. It was not the loser that can be blamed for the loss.

Also when we lost to hudds at MM this year and when wigan beat us in the CC wire were the second best team. Of course injuroes played a part but the better team won.

In the salford game, wire didn't look like winning it. Same as against cats. So it was the loser (wire) looking ineffective.

As others have said when we beat wigan It was all wire.

Wire are a much superior team, look at the league table. But leeds have great playoff pedigree, and we aren't going to die wondering, we are going to test you and if you aren't at a 100% it's very possible we could nick it.

This game reminds me of the CC semi last year facing Catalan being big favs, despite being beaten by them weeks early, we knew what could happen if we wasn't on our game but we also knew what would happen if we were.
