you are wrong on the kc stadium being a football stadium, when designed, both the rugby and football clubs were consulted.

| KC for me. Best view of a pitch in SL. Saints' new stadium looks fantastic and will be the best of the 'smaller' grounds (No offence intended as I think that it'll be the perfect size)

| FFS, It's our ground, for the following reasons
We have
1. our own stadium (a RL one)
2. It's modern
3. We have a railway station (on our doorstep) which services the majority of our away fans
4. A bus station (on our doorstep) which services our own fans
5. Easy access to major roads/motorways
6. Reasonable walking distances to good 'watering holes' e.g. The Tavern, not some of the less salubrious 'pubs' near the ground.
6. When we play in it, it looks 'well inhabited' , i.e. not having 10,000 empty seats
Yeah, we've got a great stadium

| My favourite is probably the KC as well, but could have easily gone for Castleford!

| Saints stadium will not be the best! My dads company are working on the stadium and it has some major flaws!
There is roofing covering the seated areas, however the backs are not filled in, so people sitting towards the backs of the stands are likely to get wet!?!
Also in the concources this is the same. It is just a wall that goes up 7ft, after that its open again to the elements. So any rain again will see the concourses flooded also!
Having spoke with my dad, they cannot fill these in as the structure is not designed to take the additional load.
Other than that looks smart but two big flaws!

| FWIW, the best "away day" experience for me is and always has been Huddersfield. As far as judging which is a "better" stadium goes, you'll never really get a very scientific answer.

| I know I'm biased, but Headingley.
It's not a bowl, and has some character about it. Unlike newer grounds, you can really see the current squad treading the same turf legends like Jones, Stephenson, Ward & Holmes used to.
It has lots of terracing, great views of the action and a fantastic atmosphere on matchdays.
It's not so big we can't fill it, and it's big enough so it's never horifically crowded.
It's good for getting into town (two railway stations), has a bus route outside, and is 5 minutes from a shedload of pubs serving good beer.
It's not on an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere, but is part of the area and the community.
Matchday facilities are perfectly reasonable.

| I agree about Headingley being up there with the best of them. Hull and Wigan are supermarket grounds like Bolton, Middlesbrough, Derby and various others in football. Soulless.
We managed to avoid a similar fate when we built our ground by keeping the size reasonable rather than overblown and therefore half empty at all times, and building it right in the town centre.

| Headingly hasn't got a roof. If they upgraded the away end and added a roof I might agree.
The new stand at the other end is absolutely horrific.

| I've always loved the older stadiums. Salfords was a favourite and i always enjoy going to castleford. The new identikit stadiums lack character, the all seater ones even more so. Headingley is steeped in tradition and is world famous for its' atmosphere. Away fans even get a free suntan on the western terrace that we don't charge extra for.
