| Quote ="Saddened!"LMS struggled? Did he hell. He shrugged off Morley's opening bellringer as if he'd bumped into a door on his way to the loo in the middle of the night and he did that several times, bouncing off the initial impact to make another 5 or 6 metres. That opening hit would have KO'd most SL forwards.
As I said the difference was your three halves. Briers, Myler and Hodgson. All superb along with Monaghan. Gaskell is now way past the stage in a young player's first year where he needs a rest and Lomax has had better days. I'd pay thousands to see a game between those two sides with everyone playing. No injuries on either side. It'd be the best game ever.'"
Got shoved back a fair few times as well but I may change my mind when I re-watch the game. Certainly hasn't performed ro his potential so far for Saints.
I think despite the result Saints will take a lot from that game. After last week they really needed to restore some pride and I think they did that. Great come back in the first half and didn't give up in the second.

| How many times have we seen that match tonight?...and been on the wrong end of the scoreline....if you swapped the shirts it would have been just like a lot of Wires Saints games in the past 10 years where we have been in it till half time and then Saints would pull away in the second half...
Its sooooo nice for the boot to be on the other foot. Well done Wires....top of the league for another week.

| Just got back and, in a way, that was possibly the performance that has impressed me most this season simply because they really had to dig in and come back after full time. We haven't won many close matches this season so to come through this under pressure is really encouraging for the rest of the season. I agree that the major difference between the sides was in the halves and at fullback. I thought Tony P was immense for Saints tonight.

| Should we have had a couple of eight point tries?...King was tackled in the air when he scored...and Benny nearly lost his head from a Wello swinging arm when he scored.

| Belter of a game and a necessary win for us but we switched off big time for 20 mins before HT and the TS talking too. We were by far the most talented team on the field but my did we make it hard work. Still a win is a win.

You are allowed to hit the player when you are defending your own line. He could have smashed him onto Tesco carpark (If he was strong enough anyway) in that position and he wouldn't be penalised.
And Wello hit the ball. I feel someone has their tongue surgically implanted in their cheek if they are mentioning high shots after that game. Chris Bridge is like an action figure and his arms only move in a 45 degree upward swing.

Oh well, how many times has Ade Gardner gone in off a forward pass in the past? Good times I say.

In Gardner's defense he's too slow to make it otherwise.

Thoroughly enjoyed it despite the result. Well done. And I for one hope Moz and pineapple head are okay and their injuries dont hand the cup game to those horrible Goons.'"
Saddened for once I'm amazed that I agree with you.
More experience in the halfs and a renewed FB would have helped.

Rigsby take your loss with dignity and look forward to the next game. You were beaten fair and square. I hope you really didn't think you would win away at Wire this time did you?

| The ecstasy, the agony and then the ecstasy - I don't know how many more of these Wire v Saints games I can take. Thought we'd blown it at half time after Silverpuds penalty fest for Saints. How come he was only policing Wire on their own line, but not Saints on their own line. How many players have you seen penalised for not having both feet behind the line?
The man is a moron.
Anyway we won after a dire second quarter after being 18 - 0 up.
Thought Pelatua murdered our forwards - really impressed with him.
By the way, when Benny scored, it wasn't a high shot, but an excellent effort to dislodge the ball. How Benny managed to recover it, I still don't know.
What a game!!!

| Sometimes they go for you sometimes they don't. Consistency during a game and from game to game are what Saints need to work on. Warrington have been playing with that intensity each week, we on the other hand are up and down. So it's little wonder at the end Wire pulled through.
I think Saints should win every game between now and the end of the season but we need to be as intense as today to give us an oppertunity come the playoffs.

You classless plank. I'm cringe'ing reading your posts. Why not blaime your teams loss on injuries, the rain, or even the way the wind was blowing. Silverpud couldn't have given you any more penalties if he'd have tried. Saints just didn't have it in them in the 2nd half against a better team.
You got beat.... build a bridge..... and get over it.

| Well I watched it on TV with no sound on in a local pub in yawnion land and have a different view to most of you.
The first 15 minutes were almost too good as we went into an 18-0 lead.
Then we lost composure when looking like scoring a 4th try and suddenly Saints hit back.
We were definately 2nd best for the rest of that half.
They got us rattled and successfully needled a lot of our players - including Moz, Briers, Benny - and none of them had what I'd call great games.
I was wanting half time to come after 30 minutes because TS had to get some discipline back into our game.
Second half was an arm wrestle with bad weather and plenty of spiled ball.
Puletua played really well imo.
Saints bombed a few chances and could have won but the result was the right one in the end on the balance of play but we were far from impressive on the TV.
I think (unfortunately) Saints can take a lot of heart from that game.
We dug in and got the 2 points but really made hard work of it.
Whether it was tactics or application I don't know. It'll be interesting to hear the interviews though.
As I say - that's honestly how it came across to me on TV.
