too much looking at each expecting someone else to do something today, the patten try in the second half is a good example of that, not enough work from the forwards, too much of the 3/4s running the ball in.

Westwood tried to set the tone in the first half, but no one backed him up.

What was the crowd today?thought we had about 600 there,but sounded like 6000!!!

Bring in Matty Smith, was superb today as was Daniel Holdsworth. Holdsworths kicking was outstanding.

Salford were much the better side. Hungrier in defence and worked hard for each other. Their young pack stood up well to our more experienced one. A bit of a strange game on the whole. Salford worthy winners though.

Its a joke though. How many did Salford have backing up today? Its unfair on you lot like Bradford was today against Saints.

My thoughts too.

Salford also had the better game plan to deal with the conditions. They also took advantage of the officials who didn't want to police the 10mtrs. We didn't and we got what we deserved. I also thought that some of our worse players were not involved in the Englands/Exiles match.

As for the game, bit churlish to blame today's defeat on anything other than the two main factors - Salford's performance and ours. They played very well, we didn't. They won. That's sport.

Carvel did very well considering he should have been worn out after friday!!!!!! have not seen the city reds tackle and get in the oppositions faces as good as we did today all season,simple tactics won us the game,have never watched a clock as much as i did for 25 mins today mind you!

Be gracious in defeat for once - Salford overcame a penalty count of 23-2 from Mr Thaler plus had a Ratchford try disallowed which would have been given on TV. Salfords pack won the game and if Fridays game is your ultimate excuse then why not utilise your squad and play the lads on the sidelines.

The bottom line is Mr Smith misread the signals and picked the wrong team entirely.

good point made earlier on I thought Thalers policing off the Off side Rule didnt exist today but we had more than enough chance to dominate with the number of Penalties we recieved.....
