No he isnt, hes a good centre and a good winger, but Richards is a better winger, and carmont is a better centre IMO. If we wanted to sign him he would only be at centre, as if carmont retires we wont have any expirenced centres for next year.

Anyway id be suprised if he didnt go back to Australia, with the exchange rate being 1.53 last time i checked, it makes sense for someone with his sort of profile to go back home, as he would have plenty interest.

My thoughts are that there's more chance of platting snot. Matt King will not play for Wigan.

Carmont is pretty average for me.

Richards is a good player, rather have King, apart from the goal kicking.

If he does sign for you, he will be an excellent addition who can play superb rugby in a number of positions.

Also i'd imagine you'd get him at a good price, rather than the amount Cullen is rumoured to have lavished on him...

While I think King is an awesome player and he was one of my favourites when he played Origin, those statements are rather laughable.

Carmont has been quality EVERY year he has been at wigan and has made the dream team. He showed his class during the WCC against the best players in the world and put in an awesome display against KR on sky. He is still doing it this season. He is the opposite of average, on this season form I havn't seen a better centre in super league.

Richards is the current MOS. Kings best position is centre but not a chance he could be picked over Richards for a wing spot.

Meh, you dont watch him week in week out, although i guess the same could be said for me and Matt King. Best centre in the league this season for me, he makes players look average every week.

I can't see any truth in it tbh but would like to be wrong on that score. He's proved how good he is for you guys after a sluggish start and he'd be a fine replacment for Gleeson.

As for Carmont he's outstanding. He's probably going to leave at the end of 2011 which is a shame as he's having a stunning year. He's been a bargain of a signing for us and has been very good in all of his seasons with us but he's taken his game to a new level this year. I get the feeling it's because it's his last year and he wants to leave on a high.

Its King that has the option to take up another year of contract with us, not the other way round. But he wants to go back to the NRL.

Richards very good player indeed. Without the kicking he is not that much of a force, and he wouldn't have won man of steel if he wasn't a kicker.

He's strong, dominant, versatile, quick like King but he has that something extra.
If King had kicked as many goals as Richards last year do you think he'd have won MOS? I don't.
