Both teams style of play bores me to death to be honest. I'm not having a go because it is pretty effective but it's not what I want to watch.

Wigan's goal line defence is the best in the comp though. No arguement. Huddersfield will be there or thereabouts but they are lacking some spark in the middle and the forwards can't seem to dominate in the middle. 4th/5th maybe.

The daft thing is with Roberts, he has played numerous games at fullback. In fact, I'm pretty sure the majority of his St George career was at fullback.

Thankfully Sam's back for next week.

Not sure about that... Lockers was superb tonight at 6. I wouldn't be shocked if Tomkins was swapped for Roberts who was simply awful tonight.

I think we'd want to play the game slowly with our lack of subs. I'd be interested to see how long the ball was in play though. I don't remember many scrums or penalties to break the game up and give the players a rest.

Wigan were great tonight. That performance with so many players out is a great testament to their coaching and defensive set-up. Great show.

You are obviously not a layman, as you the. in the correct place.

The . are there because both are abbreviations.

i.e. is an abbreviation of "id est"
e.g. is an abbreviation of "exempli gratia"

The translations are;

id est = that is (you use this when you wish to explain something that you have already stated)
exempli gratia = for example (you use this not to further explain, but to give an example)

If you get confused; substitute the English translation into the sentence and see if makes any sense.
