| Quote ="Gazwire"nice one warrior steve. i guess were all the same. you've got the wigan walk, our fans did what they did tonight and it's all born out of
frustration. it does disappoint though that fans are booing our players in the way they did. i really feel for those players who've put
their neck on the line all season. they're not the wire fans of old. good or bad, wire fans have always stuck up for the team in
adversity and tonight,( after winning the cc cup again) made me feel cold and a feeling i've never had, that a sizable number of
wire fans don't give a poop about the players and the club- just about success. i guess you've had the same thing back in
wigan in the late 80s and early 90's.

| Quote ="Gazwire"iv'e copied my post from the fickle fans topic and it's applicable to this subject
i have to say that after the season we've had, i've never felt so ashamed to be a wire fan at half time. our players have given us fans
the best season by a mile having watched wire for 30 years. those people who booed should be f**king ashamed of themselves and
f**k off somewhere else. we were fairly bad in the first half but consider how much heart and passion those players have given the
club this year. As i say, f**k of people who are booing and go and watch man utd again.'"
I had Wire favourites for this but fair play to Huddersfield they deserved the win overall. That said well done to the Wire players for reacting as they did in the second half especially given the half time abuse from some of the supporters. We have had our fair share of poor performances, but I never boos the guys of. don't applaud em though, but never boo em.

| As a Warrington fan I too was disappointed with boos and hoped it was for the ref but I am sure that was false hope. After a great, entertaining season the lads deserved a bit of patience and respect.
But I really can't stand all this 'fickle fans' crap and people who post in this way. EVERY club has their 'boo-ers', their 'walkers', and their 'trouble causing idiots'. Yet we persist in bashing each other about who is the most fickle/crap/loyal etc. I suppose as we have become more successful our crowds have grown and the ratio of this type of fan increases. For every club it is the same.
I just wish people would enjoy the sport.

Don't drink too much! The glass has been more than "half full" for Wire this season. Huddersfield were just too good in the first half and played the conditions much better. Tough ask for us going to Leeds next week, but I genuinely believe we can do it. See you next season for some more epic games!

| Same here to be honest. it's like the game- sissors, stone, pen and paper, (it should be 3 i think). saints will always beat us, we have the edge over wigan,
recently (although close this season), wigan up until the play off game have a great record again'st leeds, and leeds have a great record agains't saints.
it's been a great season.
as a wire fan i worry about the imports wigan and saints have for next season.
wigan have 3 ex quality melbourne storm players- a top draw front row player
and a back row in the mould of fitzgibbon (hull).
they've also got that half back, finch, who's a very good player.
Saints have josh perry a origin player. him and graham is a damn good set of
forward driving props.
soliola will be back to fitness next season
their pack with pultua could cause some damage.
come on wire though. with che in charge, the wire will come through, and 2 CC's in a row is a great acheivement, one of which
no-one has done since saints had the 3 in a row. and as much as the wire are dissed, no-one can take away 2 cc final wins in
a row.
come on wire

How do you work that out? At full strength, you lost at your place, us with our main props out (to our already small pack) and you just about beat us. Oh and then there's the fact you finished 3rd and us top.
Yea you've really got the edge on us.

Hear hear Gaz you lot should be lovin this season but tonight you were dire in the first half. Having said that the Stains fans who are giving it to you should tread carefully as they have won jack jobby for a few years and I don't think they will win anything this year either.

| For me Eddie can shove his opinion. I didn't boo the team off at half time, but i can see why people did. That first 40 minutes from Warrington was a disgrace, devoid of ideas and effort (and i'm talking nothing away from Huddersfield who were very good). The crowd really got behind the team during the second half when the team decided to do what they're paid for - play rugby league at professional level.
All teams have fans that will boo the side off when they don't perform; both Wigan and Saints fans have done so this season. It's not being fickle - it's voicing an opinion at [uthat[/u time about [uthat[/u performance.
That Warrington side let themselves down more than anything with that first 40, which was the worst 40 of the season. To put that much effort in over 27 rounds to chuck it away with two poor performances when it really matters annoys me.

| I thought we were $hit tonight any Wigan fans Disagree......?
if people Boo so what its better than chucking butty boxes on the pitch
Eddie Hemmings is a feck-wit what does he know about the game? .....he's seen more games of rugby than most fans but couldnt call a head high tackle if he got one above the fringe and it gave his wig a new centre part

Dose that also include throwing season tickets on the pitch and having sit in protests.

Got to agree with most of that Gaz.
Good luck next year.
Think you need to let Carvell go though, he and Lee looked a bit past their sell by date tonight.
