I've already explained Saints to him.

| Asking the Leeds fan taking photos at the entrance to Wembley Park tube.."excuse me, can I get past, we got ours last year"
The look on the Quins fans face when i asked if we could beat them by 60 on friday, and them asking if we'd settle for 50 (only if cas promise to only let Saint got 40).
The look on youngest daughters face we we walked out from the concourse to our seat and seeing the stadium
Finding out I was sitting next to the fans that I spend all season with and we didnt even know we had adjacent seats
STUFFING LEEDS
Lee's reaction to getting MOM
The sing off on the tube back to the cars with Leeds fans
Eventually getting home and OH admitting she was a RL convert.

| So many from the day stand out but a couple not mentioned that I thought I'd throw in the mix.
Richie Mathers walking out of the tunnel for the warm up, seeing/hearing the fans & noise & mouthing a disbelieving "Wow".
Ben Westwood grabbing Tyler as he walked up for his medal & raising the cup with her at his turn - it was one of those Father/Daughter moments that brought a tear to the eye.
Similarly, Moz going over to his family for a cuddle with his son before going back onto the pitch for the celebrations.
"Same time next year?" to the stewards as we left.
Mrs Piano having text read out by Gaby Roslin on Radio 2 driving back up the M40 mentioning the Wire & Ms Roslin clearly not having a clue what she was on about.
Going home with the realisation that after all these years of false hopes & dawns we now truly have a side & club capable of holding a sustained place at the very top table of English RL.

| Quote ="oli30045"- Standing outside the pub on the corner of the road where the coaches were coming in, a man in a primrose and blue Toga was directing traffic, sending the Warrington coaches the correct way and Leeds in a big circle.
- The same pub, when the club coach came down that road the atmosphere was absolutely amazing.
- The moment that the teams walked onto the pitch, again it was a great atmosphere.
- Morley lifting the cup (obviously)
- Lee Briers putting his medal around the neck of the disabled child in the wheelchair at the bottom, made my day really because it was such a great gesture, he didn't have to do what he did, but he did just to give the child a great moment'"

| Having watched the BBC coverage from Sat, a 'highlight' must have been the scrum (towards the end of the 1st half?) where, despite having Higham, Clarke & Monaghan around*, David Solomona was in at 'hooker'.
(*albeit not necessarily on the pitch at that time)

Forgot to mention Kev Penny using Wolfie's giant rugby ball to score under the posts from half way while the team were on the lap of honour!

| Other than the whole day the stand out moments for me included;
When the team bus arrived at the stadium.
That kid in the schools match that scored a hat-trick and then cheekily set up his mate.
Wolfie knocking on....again!
Westwood's tackle on Lee Smith.
Chris Hicks unbelievable second try.
Richie Mathers' non-try celebration.
Lee Briers' reaction to winning the Lance Todd.
The final hooter - was made up for Woody and Jon Clarke.
Moz lifting the cup.
Lee Briers acknowledgement to the crowd that his winners medal was dedicated to all of us.
Listening to 606 on 5live on the way home and a caller accusing Robbie Savage of buying 7 pairs of trainers from a shop in Wilmslow and getting a kid to carry them out for him

I assume you mean his second. Made Leeds look soooo ordinary at that point. Just before his first my daughter said to me "god, look at that gap there, if Briers can stick the ball.....OMG..YeHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

| Here's some of mine.
When the guy was reading the teams out, the PA was playing NIMROD (from Elgar's Enigma Variations, you know the one, they play it at the Cenotaph in London on Remembrance Sunday), doesn't half make the hairs on your neck stand on end, that one.
That fat Leeds "person" who was causing all the trouble in our end/corner. When he got pushed over (he was stood on a couple of seats, fat knacker) by a Wire fan, he seemed to fall in slow-motion. ABSOLUTELY COMICAL. Deserved everything he got. GOBPOOH.
When Hicks went over for the hat-trick try, a group of our fans going "were gonna bounce in a minute". I thought about it, then decided not to, especially after the Stellas and hip flask of whisky already consumed.
On the coach on the way back, driving on the main road in the residential area out of Wembley, someone said "this makes Toll Bar Road seem like Kensington".

| The best bit for me was Briers getting the MOM. His reaction sums up the whole attitude in the Wire camp, all really up for it and want to play for each other.
Apart from that,I was that p!ssed i was asleep at the hotel for 7pm, quite ashamed!!! TOP TOP WEEKEND though, wouldnt swap the memories for anything.

| Bit more difficult for me, being a Leeds fan .......
Some good memories from the weekend though, including
- talking with Colin Maskill on the train down on Friday morning. Kevin Dick was also in our carriage. (As was Ben Thaler for
a while). Big Roy Dickinson was in the hotel dining room for breakfast on Sunday AM.
- beer on the train. More beer on a mini pub crawl to the hotel. Quick shower, change, and out round Holborn from 15:15 to
stupid o'clock on Saturday morning.
- winning £130 in the casino over the weekend !
as for the match :-
I was in the Leeds end, bottom section. I stayed for the full match, saw Leeds pick up their medals (how far is it to the royal box ??), watched Wire pick up the cup. Leeds players came down and clapped the rapidly thinning number of Leeds fans.
I hung on while Wire did the lap of honour, as I had my camera and wanted a pic of Moz with the cup. Moz didn't come down to the Leeds end though, I suspect he didn't want to celebrate there. (He did give us a clap when he was stood on the dead ball line at yet another kick off though !).
By the time the Wire players did the lap, it looked like the bottom section was nearly empty - 3 lasses in Saints shirts, a couple of Hull, the Flintstones, beetlejuice and me in a Leeds shirt. I was pretty much right at the front, applauding the players.
Lee Briers was wandering round at the back on his own, lost in his own thoughts. As he passed in front, he looked up, saw me clapping (on my own in a Leeds top), pointed at me, gave a big thumbs up and started applauding me !
So in ten years time, I'll have forgotten the score, forgotten how well Warrington played, forgotten how poor you made Leeds look, but I'll not forget the day the Lance Todd trophy winner was clapping me ! Top bloke.

| Drive down at 5am Friday morning when the roads where dead quiet, parked up in london at 9.15 and we had stopped for a full english.
Science museum and covent garden with the kids, great meal with Friends on Friday night.
Taking out of the Warrington Mayor who was in our hotel for being a Saints fan (Gob smacked as we sang "Your'e gonna win naff all" to him
Tube ride to Wembley, just the atmosphere and expectation
The site as we stood at the top of the steps looking down on Wembley Way plus the smell of burning tyres
Nice scran in a cafe down the road from the holiday inn full of Queen Memrobilia and deciding what bets to put on.
The walk up Wembley way bumping into loads of friends and chewing the cud, watching the free motor racing on the way up.
The atmosphere on the outskirts of the stadium and admiring all of the different fancy dress costumes.
Walking out into the stadium from the concourse and having the same 'hairs standing up' experience as last year.
Seeing the young lad who had scored a hatrick in the schools final give the ball to a team mate over the line so he could experience scoring at Wembley (Lump in throat, couldnt beleive how good that was and how good he will have made his mate feel)
The singing of Abide with me and the National Anthem
Watching in awe at our defence and in absolute extacy when atkins plucked the ball out for his first
Someone three rows behind constantly shouting about how rubbish we where and someone telling him in now uncertain terms to go away.
Hugging and high fiving randomers as each score went in and the sheer extacy as hicks went in for his third.
Lees reaction as the MOM award was announced and my realisation that I had won £70 on it
Seeing the bench start celebrating about 3 minutes from the end.
John Clarkes tears of Joy, how pleased I was for woody
Kev Penny scoring on the parade & seeing LB spending time with the young lad in the wheelchair.
Celebrating with friends outside the greyhound, tinged with sadness seeing one of our own injured
Comedy tube ride back to hotel, heads throwing up in carriage and some of the women with us decided they where going to jump off at the next stop and jump back on the next carrage. They jumped off, doors closed and the train pulled away.
Nice meal in leicester squre on Saturday night with friends.
Seeing all the Warrington cars and vans tramping back up the M40 / M6
The speeches outside the town hall at the end of the parade.
All in all, the best weekend of my life well until the 2nd of October hopefully.
