Yes he was. Wasn't he from Oldham? and not quite as good as that Farrell fell from Wigan.
Don't get involved in a p!ssing contest over young players.

Not one over the age of 30 and we are releasing four.
How many Warrington academy or Warrington born players were in your team on Saturday?
How many ex Wigan academy or Wigan born players were in the Wigan team that beat Leeds on Friday, and don't forget Prescott, McIlorum, O'Carroll and Mossop were out injured.

He certainly wasn't quite as good, he was vastly superior.

Disagree,
Farrell was bigger, faster, a better goal kicker and a far better passer than Scully. I would still have had Scully at Wigan though, as well as, but not in place of. A bit like the Tomkins, Myler discussion.
Both great players.

I will give you bigger and goal kicker. But if you, honestly, believe Farrell to be quicker and a better passer, I will draw a line under it now.

If that's what it would need for the deal to go through - and Wire want him - it certainly won't be a stumbling block!!
Would be a great signing for the Wire - it's exactly what we need - we've lacked an out and out loose forward for years now!!!
And Cas just about to embark on a critical Stadium building process or get kicked out of the league, I'm sure £300K would help put the JCBs from Digger Land to better use!!!

| Show similarities to the deals for Harris and Scully. We had to sell those two to realise our dreams. At that stage just staying in business was the dream! So Westerman is destined to leave Cas because they will have to sell to realise their dream.

It maybe that he and the club don't think that Cas will get a franchise for 2012, so it may be as well to cash in now.

There are only 3 big clubs - Wigan, Leeds, Hull in that order
Wire & Saints are 'middle order' ranking
The rest are making up the numbers

yeah I agree with that the Big game at hull FC v Wigan was as good as it got a packed house and a very close game between two clubs a couple of places apart........
whereas the Wires Saints game was played in front of a very poor and unenthusiastic crowd and was a terrible advert for the game...

I'd say Wigan are the biggest club and everyone else is making up the numbers. Plus, you have all those really cool flags.
I don't know why anyone else bothers.

£300k wouldn't significantly reduce the funding gap which threatens our stadium plans but knowing Cas they'd take it even though our bargaining position should be something like Carvell,Riley,Cooper plus a cash adjustment.
As regards the smug references to Cas as a small club I suspect most fans on here weren't watching the Wires at Wilderspool where attendances were lower than ours and the toilets just as bad. What a new stadium did for Warrington it could do for Cas providing we follow your lead commercially as well.
PS great contribution by you guys, on and off the field, to one of the best ever SL spectacles on Saturday.....and no I don't think Westerman's goal kicking would have won it for you because frankly he's not very good in that department.

| It'd take more then 250k 2 years of a 100k contract to buy out + a transfer fee + a player at the very least, not a chance he will be sold if the club want him, he stays because we don't need to sell.
