Ive had a Toshiba NB series netbook for about 14 months now, and find it brilliant. Certainly serves the purpose of the IPAD - and more imo. So long as you get one with more than 1gb ram they are fine.

Just get a Macbook or an iPhone and save yourself the hassle.
Macbooks are great and the iPhones are great too, this just has no place in dare i say normal peoples lives.
People who can afford to buy one or two are the only people who will use them, and even then it is only to add to their "image" at work.
