| I have to admit I'm not so sure...
I can see the point in resting him with a view to us doing the pies - but that would put enourmous pressure on us should the gamble of resting him backfire spectacularly and Cas end up beating us!!!
I'd rather lose one game than both!!
That said, this would be the best game to rest him if TS is looking to to secure four points from these two games... and it will be VERY interesting to see how we fair with Cas on the ascendancy and the pies performing consistently well...
C'MON THE WIRE!!!!!!!!!

| The play offs are not far away, and players need to be managed. Warringon have been ok with injuries, and most of the first choice 17 has played a lot of games. All the forwards will need a rest at some time. The concern is that Smith doesn't think Cooper, Mitchell, Blythe etc are quite good enough. Otherwise I suspect that the big guns would be rested more.
There is never a right team to rest a player. It worked well resting Morley on sunday. Castleford @home is surely as good a game as any to rest 1 or 2.

| I wouldn't rest anyone. Cas have won four on the bounce. A win will take us to 32 points and almost guarantee a place in the top four (if you look at all the fixtures to come). We can't afford to risk losing two points at this stage. A win against Cas is just as important as a win against Wigan.

| We shouldn't be resting anybody, if they can't play one game a week then they aren't fit enough for being SL players.
Remember when Greg Mackey got his record of consecutive appearances spanning however many seasons, how many Regal Trophy, Lancashire Cup and Challenge Cup games were included in that, I bet he did more than one game a week at some times.
I can understand resting the England players who have played a Friday night international and so on or maybe being strategic over the Easter period but to be resting players in a league season isn't really on IMO. Yes its a tough game but one game a week through the season should be doable.

Morley obviously needed a rest. Does that mean he isn't fit enough to be a super league player?

| Actually a bit of squad rotation does open up spaces to include younger players and it can help keep other players match fit by stopping them being out of the team for prolonged periods so I can see the benefit, probably the players who are being rested aren't being rested because they are shattered but because the coach thinks the odd break through the season would do everybody good and can give someone else a shot, so I disagree with my earlier post now.

Oh my dear lord, contrition? Or have I missed a "whoosh" instance which the more advanced people pick up on?

| I actually laughed when I read Sally's comment. First time I've done that for a while.
