Yes. Leeds have 4 players called up for England and apparently under RFL regulations, they had the option to postpone the match but they have decided to play it.

If we had one more player called up, we would have had the same option.........unless this was just some kind of "special rule" for the Champions. What with the way the RFL are like, then I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

It's not the backing up, it's the fact that they're still in training camp. If they got injured, then that would disrupt England too much.

Tough test this, HKR matches always are close. Given the fact that up to 6 players will be missing for us and that HKR are a bit unpredictable, hopeful of a victory with the cleverness of Monas and Briers i think we might just nick it. Although without our first choice front row missing its going to be a hard slog Pwoody (if available) and Rambo will have to tough it out and be at their best this time.

Surely it would have been better all round (including Sky) if the international was played on the Friday (or even the Thursday) and all SL fixtures on the Sunday with a Sky game Sunday evening. At least this would give all coaches the option of backing up players if they felt it necessary, and Sky would be more likely to get a game between two full strength teams. Sky would also avoid having their viewing figures decimated by a certain match taking place in South Africa!

Don't worry, its a televised Friday game, you should get at least 50 points, now if it had been Sunday afternoon with no cameras we would have battered you.

If we had been playing Sunday and was hoping to include the 3 players and any of them got injured in the International game it would mean last minute changes; at least we don't now have that problem!!!

what an odd suggestion

nooo i dont belive it is, i am a great supporter in giving the youth a chance in our club. This has been a downfall in the past. We need to give great talent such as the suggestions i have made an opportunity. With the players missing at the moment we should look at good young players from our academy.

You do that when you have injuries and they have to step up or when you get a really good cup draw when you play london skolars or something. Not when your playing a strong hull kr team when you need all your best players on the pitch and in the right positions
