i havent been to hull since 2005 when we beat them in the last game of the season when johns was playing for us. Some of the hulll fans were fighting with each other outside the ground whilst the team was parading the challenge cup and i got a pasting.
I know it was only a minority of fans but i havent been to a hull game (FC or KR) since and dont plan to either.

Jesus, if it was a question of not having any cash for a ticket and no ride or listening to Gwilym Lloyd or David Doyle Davidson on Radio Humberside......I'd actually beg on the street for money and then hitchhike or even walk up to Hull.

get my ticket next week should be a good game , wonder if the hull derby will take abit out of them ?

Are there any suggestions on a decent pub? Great ground and facililites but the surrounding area is not the best ( sorry FC fans),tried a couple of pubs locally but I am open to other options

Usual favourite for away fans is The Brickmaker's Arms on Walton Street near the main stadium car park.

Plenty of options in the city centre, such as =#40FFFF[url=http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-admiral-of-the-humberThe Admiral of the Humber[/url, a Wetherspoons pub close to the railway station and about 15 minutes walk from the KC.

I remember we got a police escort out of Hull after the quarter final last year on the club coaches, yes. Sad, really.

Getting my tickets tomorrow.

I am confident that we will be the first team to win at the KC this year after what i saw on Saturday.

I saw the trouble there a couple of years ago but i've been there since, and I will go again on Monday. Don't let the knobs drive away the decent fans.

I'm tempted to go this season, but I still haven't fancied venturing to the Eastern side since the very memorable Cup game against KR the following year. Just haven't fancied Humberside ever since.

There's some right girls on here. I've been to Hull plenty of times for rugby and football and never had a bit of bother.

I've seen mobs of Hull City rampaging up Lincoln High Street after a local derby when they were in the bottom division so I know exactly what they're capable of, but it wasn't that difficult to stand out the way and enjoy the "show" as it passed me by.

I'd love to see some of you crying tarts walking out the away end after a Liverpool V Man United match at either ground.

Hang on a minute treacle, bit unfair that - Saints is only up the road, Hull is practically in Belgium it's that far east. Also, a small percentage of our fans have a life and, as a result, may actually prefer to do something with their Easter Monday apart from watch out 36-24 defeat at the hands of Hull.

Wembley is so far south but we still took 30k there (yes i know it was a cup final). It's hardly ages away is it, 2 hours? What is more important than watching your beloved Wire?

I've been to Man United away with my girlfriend and obviously her safety is paramount in my mind so yes I would. That's a far more "high risk" fixture than any game Warrington have played since the eighties. Unless you're dressed head to toe as a club coloured Christmas tree it's not hard to avoid bother.

Compared to Saints, yes, it is ages away. You've answered your own point RE Wembley. I take your point generally, it would be nice to take a really good following to Hull, it's just a bit unrealistic and unfair to hammer The 6,800 if not all of them make it.

As for what's more important than watching Wire - very little - but some people have kids wives/husbands and occasionally want to spend time with them. Not a policy I particularly agree with mind; I'm getting married in June and we're away at Bradford the day after. I'm trying to get a pass to go the game before we go on honeymoon. If that's not commitment...

Girlfriends and 9 year old daughters are very different (unless you are Garry Glitter).

I don't want my daughter to see/hear any unpleasantness at the game and I am afraid I think Hull FC away is probably the highest chance it would happen.

Why would it though. You just cover up, don't show your colours. Then when your in the ground your sound. But if you cover up then no trouble will start. Common sense me thinks.

Didn't really keep it from happening in 2005 though when they were all fighting outside, many of the people there weren't wearing club colours but because we won they saw it as a perfect opportunity to start fighting.

The fighting needs sorting out really, we don't want to have to do what football teams do by keeping away fans inside until the home fans have gone so that there is no trouble, do we?
