Super league teams really do not need this kind of advantage anyway, how in gods name can there be different rules for different teams in the same cup comp, baffles me it really does and is one of the reasons after 30 odd years of watching Rovers, GB, England, Cup finals, grand finals, i now only watch Rovers out of loyalty, the game stinks from top to bottom

I like Featherstone as a club. In 1995, they were in a similar situation to us with possible merger (Calder Valley!). I'd like to see them do well, but not at our expense of course. Pit village pub side is how most rugby league teams started, so no shame in that.

They also have a ground that is far better than two of their near neighbours, Wakefield and Cas, and that little pit village team has produced more than its share of great players over the years.

Sunday at 3pm would be the expected slot but I'm guessing that they were perhaps waiting for the TV games to be announced so not to clash and hopefully draw a bigger crowd. In which case, Sunday at 3pm might not be the best time.

I remember visiting post office road in the 70s and it wasn't a very pleasent place to go. Grown men hitting and kicking visiting fans including children and unfortunately for me I was one of those kids.

Not proud at all, but it is remarks like the "pit village pub team " then and now that probably caused it, Rovers fans are very, very passionate about there club and at the min are very bitter, dont forget we averaged 5k fans and took 10k to a semi against the passionless rhinos at elland road in 95 before those bsds booted us out for london. We are no pub team and the passionate support rovers can still pull in on big games is unreal
