I didn't say anybody did like losing. What I said was Saints fans can't hack it: meaning they can't handle it. Liking something and being able to handle it are two different things.

Defeat hurts. For some people it can be the difference from them having a good week to having an absolute stinker. I never went, i received text messages from my mates as i was in work but when i got that last message i was gutted.

I actually almost felt embarrassed for the majority of Saints fans whilst listening to Sid and his ramblings on forward passes, penalty counts and robbery. Radio Merseyside should pick him up and sit him next to their own bumbling old fool in the commentry box. Would be like fanzone commentry on Sky (do they still do that?).

Cunningham, Graham, Roby and Wellens are all internationals and I can only see Harrison of that level of quality in your list.

I listened to that Saints guy on GMR and thought he was the best thing I've heard on the radio in ages. The rest of the callers seemed to be suicidal Salford fans and the very downbeat Sale RU Coach. It's going to be a race between him and Sean McRae for the Greater Manchester heat of the Sack Race. Mind you, one Salford fan did make one very relevent comment. Does what does Steve Simms do?

Jack Dearden made a very Freudian slip at one point:

Simms has by far the cushiest job in Super League. In theory he's involved in player recruitment, but when players underperform he can simply pass that back to the coach failing to get them to perform. The bloke's always seemed like a total smarmy leech to me, but most Salford fans always go for the Head Coach's jugular.

Good solid kid, but he doesn't strike me as being a stellar player. Can you see him playing for England?

I would have said the same thing a couple of years ago but the lad has worked incredibly hard on his game and his attitude is second to none...I can see him playing for England one day yes..

I just posted both clubs last cup winning teams as a discussion point and it clearly shows 4 players from Each side that have come through the ranks..

the 4 in that Warrington side are still "youths" two of the Saints 4 are certainly not, Roby is a shadow of his former over hyped-ness and Graham came close last season to being run into the knackers yard by his coach.

So on that basis I think our youth system is doing fine at the minute
