Give it to around week 14 and then we might have seen enough of the lad to be
able to pass some kind of considered judgment. I've not noticed any real glaring errors from him and as Wire Yed says he did have more than part in both of King's tries. I've never wondered whether TS has made a wrong call since he's been at the club and nothing about Ryan's 4 games make me question him now.

I remember people getting on Matt Kings back when he started playing for us...saying he's a waste of money etc etc...but now..if he (King) reproduces the form he showed on Sunday.... for the whole season....he could win Man of Steel.

Lets wait and see...TS seems to be able to develop players and get the very best out of them..I think Atkins has all the right 'building blocks' in place..its just a matter of bringing him on, developing his skills and he will be a fine player.

Can anyone remember the last centre that we purchased from Wakefield. He got a lot of stick from the fans. It was only when he started to play at prop where he made his mark. He later found his best position at 2nd row.
Until Ryan settles down & finds his best position we should get off his back!

atkins pass for kings second try was excellent.. and he had a part in the first.... all he did wrong was a couple of misplaced passes.

he was faultless in defence again.. thats every game he has played now.

Ryan has been great this season but 4 games in Ben Harrison has been fantastic probably go as far to say (awaits the trolls) the next Andy Farrell

I have to disagree. I believe he has worked hard on them.

i still think atkins may end up on the wing. i think king is the better out of the two. atkins has been fine up to now, and i don't think dropping him will do him much good at this stage. crusaders this weekend and it may be a chance for him to put a big performance in against a percieved weaker opposition. would only drop him after perhaps half a dozen bad games, but while we are playing reasonably well, he should be given the game time, as he needs to get in game mode now, as we cant wait for him to be ready in the play offs...

I havent seen him have a bad game yet.

Can I just point out that this was not a Ryan Atkins bashing thread what so ever. If anything, he is the one player I was most excited about us signing and can't wait til he hits form. I just thought he was a bit poor vs Hudds.

The post was more to do with consistency in performances. No one is safe now IMO. One out of sorts game and you could be on the bench for the next match and fighting for your jersey. I think it's great.
