With the arrival of a decent scrum half should make for a more settled team.

I'm not expecting any major results from Smith straight away, I know we won the cup but if we can make some strides this year, I'll be happy. Top 4 would be immense for me, but I won't be expecting that.

i'd take bottom of the league if we can beat Saints at the GPW knowlsley road whateveryoucallit stadium

I am looking at this two ways:-

1. If we put too much pressure on and predict a high finish then do we increase expectation levels thus resulting in too much pressure and poor performance and a low league finish?

2. Put no pressure/ expectation and predict a low finish and over acheive?

As players at the top of their profesions then they have to learn how to deal with pressure( if they do we might beat saints once or twice) then we should only be aiming for one spot NO 1.
Thats where we should be, dont accept second best, leeds saints etc wont why should we?

Keeping free from injuries I believe we will finish third at the end of the weekly games. Just a little concerned that Tony Smith is not away on his break for too long whilst the players not involved in the four nations are being trained by that Muppet Lowes. (Remember the start last year)

Which 9 people actually think Warirngton will finish top next year? I'm all for backing your team, but come on, be a little bit realistic.

Didnt stop Mcdermot at the Broncos last year! We might not be the best team with that i agree but to become the best team at some point you have to belive you are.

Why is that not realistic? With the competitive nature of SL these days, I think theres a handful of teams who can aim for the summit. Aslong as you find a good spirit within the squad, and yes, with a little bit of luck, surely a team like ourselves, with our squad and our new coach who'll have a full pre-season to work with, can finish top?

I don't think its unrealistic at all; finishing top should be our aim now! And thats not a display of arrogance (to any Saints or Wigan fans).

However, it is essential to our entire season that we hit the ground running. Confidence is something we decimated early on last year and it took Smith a while to instill any type of belief, which admittedly, won us the CC.

But its SL we want to rip in to next year though.
