Its only a bit of metal, the players that won the Challenge Cup are all Challenge Cup winners whether or not they have that medal. It's not like they are going to walk round wearing it, it will just be stuffed in a drawer somewhere, if someone wants to make a few bob and put it to better use then its up to them.
