Agreed. Benny's a decent player, but I doubt any other coach would pick him at International level.

This season aside, as I thought he was lucky to be selected against France the week before last, but I think that selection was based more as a reward for his showing at the World Cup where it's difficult to find anyone who outshone him really, I think any coach would have picked him. The last two seasons, his form has been sensational and he's been as good as any back rower kicking around in SL.

Sorry he is not up to our standard now.

I like Tickle, I'm not sure on his attitude, as in, I really don't know much about him, he looks sad, I just presumed he needed a hug in a mug, don't we all. (Thank you Bachelors).

I'd quite like him in our back row, Smith said recently in an interview how he sees L.Anderson as an explosive forward more than a durable one, so he could be used in this role, to come on in short bursts and Tickle & Westwood would play longer minutes, he'd almost be like an impact second row really, Leeds do it with Lauititi pretty much.

I think that is one are where we are weak; an explosive backrower. A spelled Anderson could be that answer, although I question his pace to make a break and go in any more tham 30 metres out.

What you get with Tickle though is a great goal kicker

The Brother has said a few things on the hull board about player movement which have turned out to be correct, he certainly has contacts there.

i was questioning a few month back about the type of backrower landerson was aas he didn't seem to excel at anything, he now seems to becoming a bit more of a line breaker/hole puncher, again, someone thats improving greatly under che smith.

Wouldn't mind seeing him go, some days he's awesome but other days he's rubbish. We need someone in the back row who can create imo and he isn't that type of player. He can run some decent lines on his day but is too much like our other back rowers, a grafter. If a decent sized money offer came in for him I'd take it, especially with his rumoured off the field antics..

As much as Che has worked him out on the pitch, he seems to have worked him out better as an athlete. He's picked up on the fact that to get maximum impact out of Louis, it's lower minutes higher intensity, and that's working really well. I used to think with Louis under Cull that he wasn't involved enough, he almost sort of 'lacked work ethic', I'm not sure that was fair to be honest, but it seems now Smith gets his work out of him in shorter, more meaningful bursts and offers him plenty of time in between to rest up.

He compliments what we have, and what we are perhaps getting well.

In terms of finishing breaks, he's as mobile, if not more mobile than your Lauititi & Puletua's of this world, he just doesn't posess the same threat or should I say skill with ball in hand, but he's quicker, surely.

55 goals in a Hull side that is doing quite poorly seems good to me, granted i don't actually know his percentage rate but at 1st glance it looks good.

El Masri has announced he is retiring at end of season. His average is circa82% according to the text. Thought it was alot more but will be important to glance at when talking about 'good goal kicking'.

I dissagree he is a very good player and can kick goals. If our standard now also includes ben westwood then I dont see why this chap cant be in the mix because hes every bit as good.

Tickles a good player, I'd have him and his goalkicking at Wire

Ticks has the ability to play rep football imo, does 80 mins every week for us but could do with spelling to be seen at his most effective imo


Runs good lines, get stuck in and hits hard in defence a lot better player than given credit for


When at Wigan running off Farrell hit great lines and has good pace and power so with Briers to put him through gaps think he would go well for you and be sad to see him leave

High 70's i reckon off the top of my head, which isn't bad considering we don't often score under the posts in facet we don't score much at all

And all though a way off good luck in the semi final and hope you reach the final, be good to see another side there and enjoying the occasions rather than the pie eaters
