just because a player isn't well known up by fans on forums up here doesn't mean he's not a top NRL player

Bridge aint no specialist centre, but he so much natural talent he can play it very well as could Jamie Lyons and Phil Blake.
Both of these players are remembered for playing right centre in the UK, but they were household legends in OZ for playing stand-off.
Blake after 25 years still holds the record for the most trys ever scored in a season for a half back in the NRL.

Bridge like Lyons and Blake is best in the middle of the field where he poses the biggest threat...Always have you best players closest to the action.

Briers never had the pace to play stand-off, we wasted so many of his years playing him there. He always should have been at 7.

Who here would honestly like to see Briers remain at the club?

Definately time for a change. Briers has to go at the end of the season.

Hopefully we will get another creative player in our team who can unlock defenses, even if Briers isn't in the first team he is worth having around in case of injuries

The only reason and I mean the only reason that I want to see Briers leave, is to force this 'Can't win without Briers' thought process out of the door once & for all. I don't think he's to blame for it, more than fans & players alike maybe believe it. It might just force a few players out of their comfort zones and make them stand up & be counted.

If, and it's a big 'if', we do sign Myler, then we need someone with experience lined up alongside him. If Briers gets offered the three-year deal from Barrow that's being talked about, then he'd be a fool not to accept as he'll never get three more years here. Otherwise, with half his money no longer counting against the Salary Cap, we should keep him at least one more year.
