Seems there is a lack of respect for other posters and the moderators on here.

I understand a forum is a place of opinions, and sometimes some seem to take their opinion far too serious, and are quite dismissive of others.

Could just be me, though.

It's a bit of that. And a bit of oversensitivity now and again.

And a lack of perspective. If you don't like something that's posted then let it go after a bit of a moan. It's not as if it matters in the scheme of things.

You right to a point, alot of 'topic's' do get derailed. But as for targeting people ... their only having a laugh. Comments that are not ment to funny turn out to be funny cause' someone's just had a play on words but knowone gets targeted.

I totally agree, I use to post quite often and weigh in on some interesting discussion, but it doesn't seem happen anymore. Any decent threads there is always get de railed and end up getting locked. People changing their name constantly is annoying as well.

The mods need to step up and start kicking some ass. Crack down on all these silly rumours about players and like SEB said get back to interesting debates that are based on FACTS.

Prime example would be 'George Best/Casual Des' he's been on here two day and has managed to get away with 70+ posts of pure crap.

Would the term 'dumbing down' be too strong for the way this forum has gone?

I agree with you. Until the other night I rarely posted. I seem to have reached the end of my tether slightly before you.

I find it unpleasant when people use personal insults. For me it's not what a fans forum should be. It's a real turnoff for me.

I know of at least one other person who doesn't post on here because they feel intimidated.

BTW, this post is in no way a go at the Mods, they don't have eyes in the backs of their heads and they do a sterling job.

I used to post on here and now it’s all gone rubbish and I’m very upset about it! The kids with their slang and ruckus have took it down the swanny! Oh woe is me…

P.s I just saw Lee briers with a can of super tenants and a suspicious substance round his nose starting a fight with micheal monoghan who’s paycheck fell out of his pocket of the ground, creating a dibbert for Kevin penny to fall down whilst sprint practising with Usain bolt and that’s why he’s out of the 19 man squad!

I'm just as interested in reading people's opinions as much as I am facts. Facts are helpful but some interesting debates can be brought up through opinion. People tend to disagree with opinions more but that's the beauty of debate, facts are interesting and I like reading things like Seb's 'stat attack', but I also enjoy reading people's opinion like JWP and Rob Wire.

Nothing wrong with speculation, within reason. If we just dealt in facts, there would be very little to discuss!

Opinions, discussion and debate are what I expected and used to get from this forum. Most of the time now it's like hacking into someone's MSN account.

Hopefully we'll get it sorted in the next few days.

Some on here take themselves far too seriously.

Ok, just don't come complaining when some of you are on the end of a ban and also don't constantly ask us where posts or threads have gone.

As Mods we don't have the time to tell you why a thread was removed, we will just remove it, sometimes only the odd post will be removed but if a thread is full of ODD posts then the whole thread will be removed, sometimes that will remove some good posts or serious discussions but unfortunatley that is the way it will be.

Anyone from now on that questions the moderation process will be banned after 1 warning and it will be sitewide nor will it be revoked.

If we find ourselves removing more posts from a user than we allow to stay then expect them to also be banned to lessen the workload on here.

In terms of banning, all we have access to do is Ban a username, sitewide bans become ban on site and as soon as we know who the new user is they will be banned again.

Be sensible and add to discussions and you will be ok.

People shouldn't be ashamed if that's their opion, if someone doesn't feel the same way about that person's opion then so be it, but knowone should feel intimidated becuase of what they think.

Good stuff. Could we also try and dissuade some of the more prominent users from the practice of unearthing ancient posts just for their self amusement unless it adds to the forum quality. I find it quite annoying and distracting when trying to find valid, current, RL debate only to see a 2 year old post on Lee Briers raked up with a smiley face post. I was shocked when I discovered the culprit.
