| well this'll be a good indicator of how homesick/desperate he is to make a move, he was desperate to leave manly and was talking to the cowboys prior to signing for us and was asking for stupid money.

Off the top of my head, reckon these Super League imports would give England / Great Britain or whatever their called nowadays a decent game.

| What about Long?
British, talented and wouldn't have to worry about being an import who couldn't settle in.
Would be perfect if we got to Wembley, his record there is up with Andy Gregory's.
If not Long how about Robinson or Thorman?

| Tried to sign him enough times. I thought we only wanted players who wanted to play here.
Saying that, the people want English...

| I could see Finch going to Bradford tbh . They missed out on Bird and have now release 2poo so will have plenty of cap room .

| I think he will go to Bradford now Tupou has gone, or Huddersfield (still looking to replace Todd Carney)
Wonder where that would leave Deacon's future at the Bulls, he wouldn't be happy with being a squad player. Maybe a cheeky bid for Deacon to Wire.....tries would be worth 6 points at last rather than 4.

Long has been mentioned before. Could be a masterstroke of a signing for a couple of years for this club. And before anyone pulls me up on it; yes I know I push local young talent but there is a distinct lack of half-backs being created in RL.

Yes but they are not all in the same place. And Buderus isn't far being off being considered a flop for this season, he has looked less than ordinary every time I have seen him.

How many teams have won the GF in the last 14 years that have had an import at either 6 or 7 ?? (for the purpose of this I'm counting the Pauls as non imports)

| If there is any truth that Monaghan wants to go back to Aus then I wonder if Tony Smith will find a way to make that happen like has happened with Gleeson.
I suspect the 2 cases are miles apart with Monaghan being dissapointed with his ability to have an impact on the team that he would have liked and taking a fair bit of stick, Gleeson, it would appear just wanted away for different reasons.
Will TS persuade Monaghan to stay and achieve what he came over here for along with King and Hicks, or will all 3 be on their way at the end of the season. I will be a little bit dissapointed if he/they are throwing the towel in now. We are seeing glimpses that TS is starting to get these aiming in the right direction playing footy more to their style (I am not saying that these are going to start tearing teams apart anytime soon).
Wonder if the situation would change if a trip to Wembley came along and / or a decent run in the play offs.
Looking at those out of contract at the end of the season. This could be the mother of all clear outs.

| does anyone not see the silver lining here if this does go through, for years people have been banging on about cutting down on over seas players, imposing foreign quotas, encouraging junior development etc.
All it possibly comes down to is taking the money away from em.
