Played well today, solid coming away from his line as always and took his try well, didn't really do anything wrong.

Proves to me that Penny was the weak link on that side of the pitch.

How can you say Penny was the weak link???? Anyone with any knowledge of rugby could see that the defence inside the winger has and still is the problem???? The winger is made to look a fool when he is left with 2 or even 3 attackers!!!!

Fair play today though defence was tons better but to say Penny was the weak link is so wrong!!!! He didn't play last week and we conceded 60!!!!!

None of last weeks tries were scored down King's wing and none this week either, Penny was the problem.

Penny always had to come inside because Kingy went missing, so the wing was free for the team bus to get down.

Penny's been treated pretty unfairly but he should be raring to go when he gets the nod.

Kingy was good today but agree with what some have said, this is what's expected, so he's gotta back it up with consistent performances.

Ok then Penny has played only 1 game this season and was hardly to blame for any tries if you watch the game again!!!!!! so who is at fault then?????

Cannot compare the two Mark, they are different types of winger, it's like comparing Lesley Vainikolo to Mark Calderwood, both have different strengths and weakness's

Matt King played really well today but i think he has been a better performer for us than certain people have stated anyway!!!! Easy target!!!!

King was at fault for 1 try against Catalans and that was it.

today was kings best game in a while, so how can u blame penny wen we have lost 5 in a row and hes played one of them. its just easier to blame penny even though hes not on the field

Not having a go at Matt King, i never have a go at any wire player, just cant be doing with people who pick on certain players when its obvious our defence as a team has been crap not just one person!!!!!!!

No not saying that at all, just saying our defense seems to be weaker with him playing IMO.

King has always been able to tackle, the problem with him at centre is his decision making. On the wing with a decent defender inside of him (Grix) he just has to do his job. He is doing that well.

It would be interesting to see Penny outside of Grix, however I think King is earning his spot at the moment.

Your arrogant attitude when discussing this just makes you look an idiot though, as you claim you are dealing in facts, yet completely ignore the fact that King at centre was a liability, whereas Grix isn't, and that is possibly the biggest difference.

Good point well made, King played on the Wing for Melbourne and was very successful in playing in that position so is it not the fault of the coach for playing King out of position in the first place
Although King was playing out of position i don't believe he was a liability and it certainly isn't a fact.
I would also like to reiterate that saying Penny is a weak defender is my opinion and if you watch the academy games, he isn't that strong in defence there either.

Comparing one game with penny in the team against the runners up in the grand final to the rest where we ended up having the biggest minus points difference, including again, the Harlequins RL hammering.

Unless your comparing to last season which in sport is a long long time ago.

Good player who has been poorly coached but no anymore. He'll come good for us watch.
