| Quote Mr Snoodle="Mr Snoodle"You just don't get it do you? Just because he sticks his arm out at head height, the opposition player has a duty of care to avoid his arm and NOT to wilfully attack the arm with his head.
Just imagine the damage that could be done to poor Morgan's arm by someone's head remaining on their shoulders! I mean, if they ran into his arm hard enough they could even cause a tingling sensation or light bruising - why isn't the disciplinary committee clamping down on these players' vicious attacks on Morgan's outstretched arm?
It's not fair I tell you, that poor boy needs the refs to look after him better'"
To be fair to Morgan his arm was only raised in the first place because he was explaining to the other player that he'd been to Tenerife for his holidays...*

| Quote St Helens Wolf="St Helens Wolf"1 match for Drinkwater. That probably means Mata'utia at half back but then who comes in a centre? Minikin, or does he take a risk with Wrench?'"
He will most likely play Mata’utia there but why not Hayes, he as been included in the 21 a couple of times lately so why not give him the spot. On the other side if he did play Mata’utia as I suspect and he then gives Wrench the centre spot scenario is he plays a stormer and keeps it the following week.

| We should be replacing a halfback with a halfback. Williams will be playing, it is a great opportunity to give Hayes a run.

Agreed, plus, we're 4 points clear so it gives us some breathing space. Hayes played some games last season so I assume Powell thinks physically he is ready to step in for sporadic games.
Hayes at 7, Mata'utia to start at centre with Wrench on the bench, if its going badly take Hayes off Mata'utia to half back, Wrench to centre. Otherwise plan for Hayes 80 minutes and Wrench 40 coming on at centre.

| We also have Riley Dean, but I don't know what the agreement is concerning a one off return to the club. Dean would be a better like for like replacement IMO.

| Hayes as been in the last 2 21 man squad announcement’s I think it criminal if he doesn’t get a run given he is a recognised half. But will not come as a great shock that Mata’utia appears there just disappointment.

It's not saints we have drawn, it's Wigan. It's hull who should worry about the disciplinary panel the week before the quarter finals. They will definitely cop a ban or 4.

| I just don't get the thought processes that the Disciplinary Panel go through. If you can have a ban reduced due to previous impeccable behaviour (Makinson) then surely there must be an option for increasing a ban from the 'norm' when repeatedly committing bannable offences (fifth suspension since the GF less than 8 months ago) ........ 2 matches for Knowles ????

The tariff range for the grade of offence is set. Previous good behaviour is potential mitigation. I suspect Knowles did not receive any leniency.

It would be interesting if someone added the number of games players have been banned for for both clubs as a comparison so far this season. I think it may go in St Helens favour with McGuire's 7 games.

Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"He's not though is he. This latest one he put an arm out and caught him, but there was no swinging arm or real force in it. It's not a grade D incident. The other stuff he's been up before the committee for, he's largely been completely innocent of. He's got two referrals and yellow cards for 'high' tackles that were in the middle of the chest for example.
You mock the stance that Saints fans feel we're hard done to, but you can't sensibly argue with the evidence of that. Lees challenge wasn't the worst high shot in the game, Wright's on Ritson was, no charge. 'But it was off the ball Gov!' you all cry, well what about the Catalans player who got off completely with clobbering the Cas player around the head off the ball? That was significantly worse than what Lees did and he plays this weekend.
The late hit from Sironen? What a grub, what a monster. There were FOUR worse ones that that in the Saints v Salford game alone. Makinson for us (Which they picked up), plus Sneyd on Lomax (which was awful) and Croft on Lomax, which they didn't. Croft on Lomax is an interesting one. He knocks him to the ground after he passes to Sironen for his try. Contact is high, with the shoulder, there's no wrap and the passer is left flat on the floor. No charge, no ban, nothing on his record. Sironen wasn't late, wasn't high, wrapped his arms and took his opponent to ground safely. Sironen gets banned.
There are examples like this every single time a Saints player is banned. Lomax cops them every single week and there is never anything for them.
I appreciate it's fun for you because we're getting these, but it's not hard to see that there's a big difference in how we're treated by the MRP than any other club. They tried to get Lees banned for longer too by removing the penalty notice, meaning his ban could be for more than 2-3 games the grade suggests, which is unbelievable. Luckily the independent tribunal laughed at that and agreed with Saints and overturned it, giving him the lowest ban possible, but we've no doubt made things worse by doing that.'"
Here you go mate. Maybe you need to send a detailed email to your coach outlining why he's wrong and how your players are being unfairly picked on...

Wello is trying to draw a line under it and move on, which is understandable. And he's right, we can improve our discipline. It's also still true that Saints are treated differently by the MRP than the other clubs, it's undeniable if you review what happens every week.

If your discipline needs improving then that is the root cause of you being "treated differently" as you put it. Cause and effect. I'd say "treated appropriately" would be the correct term. Stop the indiscretions, stop the bans. It's quite a simple concept when you think about it. Even your own fans, for the most part, are starting to see it. Not yourself, of course, but then a persecution complex will have that effect. Maybe take off the Redvee glasses once in a while. The view is quite illuminating.
Corrected your post for you mate.

Let's keep it relevant and fresh and in the real world
