He doesn't have to go round taking heads off. Just hit someone hard enough that they wanna do a Ryan Bailey and not take another ball in. Someone that will put the fear of God into the opposition. Chris Hill is arguably one of if not the best prop in SL at this current time due to the relentless work he puts in. However I don't think people are particularly scared to run at or tackle him.

He looked like a horible mongrel of a player in the World Cup. We need another player like that.

He's a good tough prop and I'd have him at saints in a heartbeat. He's also massive and can do the good spells.

His other two brothers are better but all 3 very good players.

I've heard no talk of contractual extension this season for House.

That does not even come into it. Most 30 plus aussies only come here to fill their pension up.most probably know longer figure for international or origin selection simples.

Most of this is old news now but just to clarify Got word yesterday from within the fence that Daryl Clarke and Ashton Sims (for Waterhouse) ARE definitely signed up for next year. Clarke as speculated was signed when Castleford were at administrations door last year.

Talks are still going on with two players from overseas. Unknown at this time.

It could be a while before we officially announce Clarke because it looks likely they will feature in the playoffs.

I'm not sure if Warrington's stance on holding back on official announcements until after the other clubs footballing commitments comes to a close is a wise one even if it seems morally right?

But if they spilled the beans straight away Duckie there would be nothing to speculate about on this forum.

If they have signed and the club want to wait to announce them, I'd prefer that to the Koukash approach.

I would imagine Smith has looked at all the decent young backrowers coming through and has decided that he doesn't need to have one of the highest cap spots and a quota space taken up by a backrower.

Not watching the NRL, I also only know Simms from what I saw of him in the World Cup. He could be a valuable addition.

I will echo what has been said here: Hill is undoubtedly the best forward in SL but he is a 'nice guy' prop; he has the power, the stamina, the drive and the step of a half back but he lacks that fear inducing aggression.

Waterhouse will be leaving but not to return home. He's off to Hull KR I've been reliably informed by an unreliable source.

Salford remind me of Tottenham when Redknapp was in charge. They would just see the rumours about who is interested in who and when it starts to hot up, they register their interest and put in a bid in the last minute.

If Simms wants to improve his game and sign for a team whose recent history is an illustrious one, who have reached, won and competed in major finals and have a stable management structure and vibrant youth policy he should sign for us.

If he wants a big pay-day and nothing else, he can join Dr NoClass' merry bunch of materialists, and we're well shut of him.
