Fair enough, keep Briers to the end of the season, because he's the best of a ridiculously poor bunch....However, get rid once the season is up, so that we can truly start afresh.

The form guide is obvious....Wire with Briers will always be also-rans.

Honestly??.....There isn't a player at the club who I would be upset about if they left, so I'm guessing that means all of them...



Realistically, that isn't going to happen. However, Tony Smith has to find 4 or 5 class players who can inspire the average players we presently have into some sort of team.....In the same way Burrow, McGuire and Sinfield are classy enough so that run of the mill guys like Jones-Buchannan and Ablett look half decent at Leeds, or average players like Gardner and Gilmour can be integral parts of a successful Saints side.

Briers is Jesus, reincarnated as a halfback.

Proof of this, if it was needed is that he'll be back on Monday.

I hate Briers with a passion for his arragance, but I was absolutely delighted to see he was missing from your squad today, and even now I think,fwiw, that you would have won today with him in your team. He seems to add that little bit of guile,skill and unpredictablity that was missing today.
I've watched Wire 4 times this season now and Monaghan doesn't offer anything like Briers does

Not really. There is a clear split in the fans about Briers. This is a response to those who bag Briers week in week out and make out he is dragging Monas down.

Without Briers we would still be waiting for our first league win of the season! So like him or not we still need him. I would like to see another good half back sign for us this year though

Gets back to my previous posts. Where's the Briers replacement? Australia by any chance?
In Briers's time at Warrington have we've never had a kid good enough to challenge him? It defies belief.

We have, and that is Bridge.

The Briers/Bridge combo has worked years gone by, lets try it again.

Again, that says more about the Wire set-up than whether Briers is a god-like genius or not...



Put simply, as long as Briers is at the club, we will remain trophyless.

Sorry. I just don't see it with Bridge. Monas was poor today but was his 1st game back from injury. Briers CAN be outstandng at times and deserves our full support. Monas has showed glimpses of reputation but consistency wanting. Bridge? Just don't see it. Sorry!

All three tries came down his side today, and every time he touches the ball you can see the defence panic. The conditions weren't ideal for his footwork, but on a dry pitch I would have him in the team every week.

Whatever you say Lee Briers can be brilliant, good, indifferent and bad but he has single handedly carried this club for 10 years. If he misfires, Warrington misfire. It's as simple as that. And that is a desperate position to be in.
