Carvell is at the peak of his powers and the club have made a big mistake by moving him on. He's about the same age as Asotasi so there's no logic to it. At least Big Gaz isn't a dummy spitter.

To be fair Carvell is a settled, known performer. To replace him with Asotasi is a risk.

I am struggling to see the logic in this but we will wait and see.

People have been saying we've been too sentimental with players over the last couple of years, to the likes of morley,we've kept them a year too long, in this case are we releasing Gaz a year early.

Personally, i'd have kept him, with coops and moz going, thats enough change a third prop is too much. Keeping him on would help with the transition. But there must be a reason behind it, maybe they wouldn't consider offering him a 2 year deal, it'd be unlikely him accepting a 12 month contract so didn't bother at all. I'd like to know the rationale behind it though.
