This is the reason TS and the team need to win, the longer we keep the mouths of the Sky team quiet the better

| Remember how we laughed at Langtree Park a couple of years ago, when we beat Saints and the LLS went back in its box.
Hope we don't get the same done to us on Friday.

Sky, especially Hemmings, and the RFL would love this to happen, so they can do the helicopter rubbish on the 23rd flying about between KCom and DW

It was quite (very) funny but to be fair to Saints (difficult) it wasn't of their making. If Wigan beat us I wouldn't fancy having to go to Hull to stay in the top two.
Let's hope for a decent win on Friday and the opportunity to rest up one or two the following week

If Hull win Thursday, Wigan won't be able to win it regardless of how they do against us on Friday if my calculations are correct.

If Hull win and Wigan beat us, the table would us on 41 pts, Hull on 40 and Wigan on 40. If we then lost to Hull and Wigan won there last one then the table would be Hull and Wigan on 42 and us on 41.
It would go down to points difference. At present Hull have +103 more than Wigan. So it could be done, however very unlikely.

| As an aside note, that Treble Winning team of Leeds last season, ended on 41 points, we could set a new record for highest points gained in the Super 8's 30 match season.
Last season we had 15 wins from 30 games, this season we are currently on 20.

| If Hull and Warrington both win this weekend, then that is 1st and the LLS for us and 2nd guaranteed Hull with an opportunity for both coaches to rest up the majority of players the following week. This could result in a second 13 match at the KCOM.
If Saints also win then they will be level on points with Wigan with a game to go. I would hazard a guess that Points difference will decide 3rd and 4th. Will this mean that both go hell for leather in the final game hoping to get 3rd. Or will Saints also rest a few up with a then likely trip to their Second Home and a likely easier route to the final.

Spot on, pretty much what I had in mind. Hopefully it won't matter and we'll get the job done Friday.

| I can't see past a Warrington win if we get saints at home. Not with the fresh legs we'll have coming back. I don't think Sandow was fully recovered from his injury when we brought him back. giving him this rest could see him coming back and taking on the line with the spontaneous play he had at the start of the season. Having Daryl Clark fresh for the last semi final and final would be unreal.

After the League Leaders Shield was put back into the box, on that night.
Saints subsequently won it anyway. They also won the Grand Final.....Admittedly thanks to Mr Ben Flower.

I know there are no certainties in sport, however I will lay good money on Hull opening a can of Whoop Ass on Wakefield on Thursday.

Common sense would suggest we should win against Saints at home. But we never do so we won't.

| For some reason we seem to have a mental block when it comes to beating Saints at home.
Maybe an hypnotist should brought in to tell our boys they are the Australian test team.

| Here we go again, memories of people booking tickets for the Grand Final this time five years ago...
Ps, can people get over their obsession with Sky Sports, please? Small-club mentality at its worst.

| I can't see past a Wire win this week, and quite comfortably too.
Although the LLS is a piece of silverware, it's the GF that's the one.
And if you and Hull get there, you'll be hoping you don't bottle another big day out.

In what way did Wire 'bottle' our two GFs? Yes, we should have won both, but the match v Leeds has gone down as one of the best GFs of all time, and it's never a disgrace to lose to Leeds in a final. Against the Pies it was all going our way until the nasty injury to Joel Monaghan broke up our ( to that moment ) impervious defensive line and gave Wigan their first sniff when they'd been under the cosh for 30 minutes. You win some, you lose some, 'bottling' doesn't enter into it in either case.
