Losing Cunningham isn't that much of a blow because Saints can bring in somebody else to do a job, may not be as good as Cunningham but will still do what is asked of him.
We need Saints to lose another 3 first team players this weekend before ill get confidant about our chances.

A saints fan told me this morning that Gidley is out too, i dont know how true it is but it certainly looks like they have a mounting injury list.

He is out for two weeks.

Hope this is true then, getting closer now if Gilmour and say Graham get injured this weekend it becomes a level playing field for the Wire game.

That translates to being rested for the wire game.

I wouldn't put it past saints for Cunningham to make a miraculous recovery in time for the wire game too.

Wouldn't it be more useful to know how far the team have come under TS by playing a full strength Saints team, with a full strength Wire team?
Have noticed a different atmosphere at the HJ these days, one of optimism and anticipation, but still expect anticipation and trepidation to be the feelings before the Saints game.

As far as i know Cunnigham will have no chance to return at all. Wigan at the end of the month i wouldn't be suprised but no way our game against you.

As for Gidders, i agree it wouldn't suprise me if he was back, but i wouldn't risk him. I'd play Dean and Gilmour as our centre partnership.

For this weekend, we have out Cunningham, Gidley, Cayless. We also probably have Graham and Wilkin out as well. If thats the case next week, i'd put wire as favourites.

Briers and Grix are both expected to be fit for this weekend so as long as we don't pick up any serious injuries against Celtic we should be pretty strong

I've not seen the interview with TS as I only use RL Fans at work (I have nothing better to do) and I can't stream the interviews, the last I heard was he'd be out for two weeks and that was two weeks ago!! Sorry!!

Gimour at centre has proven not to work - Wheeler has already shown he is more competent in the centre position, and I would expect him to play alongside Dean.

one thing if we play a understentgh saints team and lose then how much would that knock the confidence leading upto the semi final. On the other hand if we win against a full stenght saints team just think what it would do to confidence leading upto the semi final.

It just said on sky sports extra time that Sean Long has a suspected fractured jaw and could be out for a while, i wanted us to beat a strong Saints side in the league that contained all the star names but time is running out for that to happen given the Saints injuries at the min as apparently Gidley, Pryce, Cunningham and Jon Wilkin were all out tonight then you have the Sean Long injury.

Beating a weakened Saints side just wouldn`t feel the same, it wouldn`t feel like you have beaten Saints if you know what i mean.Lets hope we can get to Wembley or the Grand final and meet a strong Saints side there.

I'm actually convinced you will beat us. We have been pants for a few weeks and your on the up. Particularly your mental strength since Smith should see you home IMO.

Rumour is that Cunningham and Gidley are both fit for selection but won't be picked by St Helens for the forseeable future.

I will let you all make your own minds up about that.

Cunningham has had an operation on his knee. So obviously that makes him fit for selection! Gidley is only missing this week and next. Pryce and Wilkin - all being well - should be back next week, but Wilkin suffered a neck injury last week and so that might take a while longer. Graham should have a month's holiday because he's falling apart and clearly Long is going to be out for at least six weeks.

If you lot don't beat us next week then seriously, I'd sack yer coach!

It's only a matter of time till Saints start to slide the only way is down in the future.
