Stand out player from last night was Luke O'Donnell, followed closely by McGilvary and Robinson.

Its pretty easy to defend against any side thats lacking ideas in attack and is making unforced error after error.

Your pivots had far more idea than ours, your runners ran far better off the ball than ours did, you looked more energetic and seemed to have an extra yard of pace compared to us, you also looked like you wanted it more.

Last night reminded me a lot of Millenium Magic where you were quicker in everything you did, we only seemed to have 2 gears in both games which were a dodgy, crunchy 1st gear and a too easy to find reverse gear.

The unforced errors were ENFORCED errors because they were caused by a very brutal and physically dominant defence. Some of the tackles on Hodgson showed the commitment.

Playing on the back foot because you did not dominate in the ruck was what led you to take poor options and make mistakes. Losing Briers was obviously a big blow but did you not beat us last year without briers in a game. When you stuffed us in the CC your pack blew ours away and let people like Bridge destroy us. Because your pack was so badly beaten that did not happen this time.

If your pack had dominated then you would still have created more chances than you did.

Forwards win games the backs only make the score look good. If we had your backs( plus McGilvary )we would have got 50. I still rate our pack very highly and would say LOD was the outstanding forward on both sides.

In terms of your pack Morley is a great player but cannot do the big minutes like he once did. He cannot dominate like he once did and his career is coming to an end. He would still get into most SL sides ( including ours) but his time is running out.

Westwood is a very good player but i question what Solomona does for you ( if you are on the front foot and the rest of the pack is dominating) he can be very destructive but if you need a roll your sleeves up and put a big stint in he cannot do it and his lateral defence is poor. Harison neds dropping for a month and be made to live in a gym. He seems to have gone backwards this year in terms of his physique. Still has the ability to be a great player but needs to look at Morley as a role model not big daddy.

I agree with you on the 3 high shots that got penalised. All seemed lazy and tired rather than malicious. Disagree on Morleys the shot was all shoulder and bicep but straight into the face is very bad. I know what Morley was saying to the ref about it was my shoulder and he is only a small guy but Silverwood was right when he said it is your responsibilty to bend your back and tackle lower.

Your comments about Brough are laughable , you were as guilty of as many technical offences that went unpunished as were we.

I think you are mixing Brough and Long up. Long is the caravan dweller whilst Brough lives in a cave eating raw meat and wearing animal skins and trying to work out how to make fire. Despite that he is Englands best chance of putting the Aussies under some pressure in the 4N.

We'll have to wait and see, he maybe another Sinfield who's ok for his club but no good for England. He's improved as a player and seems to have matured as a person too so give the lad a chance.

fair do's, im of the opinion as i mentioned over on your forum, that unless he is behind a dominant pack then he is quiet, hence he was never very good at wakefield. So under that reasoning i think he will struggle and then become the blame horse for why we didnt perform well.

If you read the first part of your post where you talk about unforced errors. You actualy made very few unforced errors. You then used that to justify losing before qualifying it with some positives about the Giants. You need to look at what you are writing and understand it before you reply.

hudds dont get too carrried away we are performing no where near potential just look what we can do when we do perform like the challange cup last year a complete performance , huddersfield have yet to hit a slump in form just like all the good teams do please dont get big headed and ignorant like the pies and the rhinos fans it comes back to bite you on the backside yes enjoy your result last night you was very good , but nothing is won in april ! . i have a real soft spot huddersfield if we cant do well hope you can both teams have a very simular back ground
