That tackle by Williams on Pangai Jr was a monster.

| The attacking flow isn't there yet. Even from dummy half Walker had a few "checks" before releasing.
I'd love to see us put it through hands a bit more. Thought our 2nds rows had good energy all game.
No real stand outs, bit sluggish and no panache but 2 from 2.
See y'all in Vegas

| Quite strange to see the opposition beating us on offloading. A few years back we used to be the offload kings.
I thought Catalan had a good night tonight & we could have easily lost that one.

| I knew it would be close and content with the 2 points. They beat us in the same fixture last year putting 32 points on us.

| Held my breath a few times but it was good to see Fitzgibbon get through the game. Never looked liked holding back hope it continues for the season.

| Hopefully it all 'clicks' next week and we see some green shoots! Walker is still our danger man I fancy, always looks like he gives a stuff when others don't seem that arrised.

Agree, it didn't look great. I heard that it's being relaid this summer hence a run of away games.

Was well impressed with his leadership on the pitch tonight.

| Thought we were too conservative with the ball and played into Catalans hands for large sections.
Our lack of go forward in the first half was concerning as well. Still, it's two from two with a lot of room for improvement.
Thought Dan Russell played very well, might have to eat some humble pie if he continues like that.

| I thought Dan Russell was Superb tonight, played 80 mins and tackled and tackled and tackled, Hit hard in defence, took the ball up fast and aggressive, followed players up making breaks through the line, and helped drag players back and towards the touchline. Very impressive.
Great to see Fitz back and was good for us, Leyland was ok but a few dodgy tackle attempts to work on.
Jordy Crowther giving away the penalty for rubbing and pushing Kearys head really peed me off, so childish and unecessary.
It was a good hard fought win, the kind of games that put you in good stead for finals

Agreed up to the point where we should have gone for the drop-goal, which would have put us 13 points ahead, and the game would have been ours.
Instead we went for another speculative move to create a try that we didn`t need and Catalan scored one instead.

| Dufty & Crowther need to follow Fitzgibbons lead in being aggressive but staying on the right side of things - surprised a little with Crowther, haven’t seen that side of him before.
We’re clearly not firing yet, my biggest concern is we’ll continue to struggle against the good teams with yardage / territory. This will put extra pressure on our defence.

| I see over the last 2 games we still have a lot of toughness about us which is good but our attack hasn’t come on yet.
On the other hand watching the highlights of the Wigan game last night they looked really sharp with ball in hand and were scoring for fun. I hope we get this right for Vegas otherwise i can only see one result sadly.

| I was pleased we won.
The positives for me were:
- Russell's workrate
- Walker's leadership
- Thewlis's proactivity in defence (thought he was a bit quiet last week)
- Fitzy getting a run out
To work on:
- Leyland and Lindop both dropped off a few tackles
- Crowther's brain melt
- Dufty getting involved in stuff he didn't need to
- King was anonymous apart from his try

| Dufty needs to stop running his mouth off, if he keeps that up i can only see more penalties given against us.

| It did seem like that ref had a personal beef with Dufty. He pinged Dufty for using the ball to lift himself up once (fine), but that Pangai Junior did the exact same every time he was tackled and got away with it all night.

I mean, I know what he was frustrated about, in the modern game that is a penalty to us - but after how desensitised the game was last year, the early rounds seem to be a little better on that front. He just needs to get on with it and not react.

There was a difference between what Pangai Jr was doing (which was absolutely a penalty a couple of years ago) to what Dufty did, there was no separation between ball and hand, but Dufty definitely lost control of the ball - it was a fair call I think.

Agree with most of that but I think on the whole Lindop was superb last night. He did fall off the odd one but made plenty and his anticipation was excellent. He also was pretty inventive on last tackle plays with kicks. I don’t think we’d have seen that from Tai.

| Russell was impressive last night, you can’t question his work rate. Maybe Burgess has uncovered a decent super league player. King was non existent he wasn’t even looking to put a shift in. And for the life of me please stop the fourth tackle play to Duffy
