At the end of the season you will have played Salford three times in the league as you both finished in the bottom six season. It's an advantage to Warrington. maybe to make it fair they should give the winning teams the two points but NOT include the points difference in the final league tables.

Maybe we should have 58 points taken from our points for column as well seeing as Harlequins were clearly devasted by injuries in Round 1 and it simply isn't fair for us to have the 2 league points AND 58 points added to our 'for' figure! (btw, how did you get on against 'Quins?) You can only play what is put in front of you.

The only fair way would be to scrap the additional fixture completely.

Let's wait until the end of the season, but the Magic weekend is a problem that needs addressing in that it could cost a team a top 8 place. In reality we should go back to the top 5 system (if we keep an uneven fixture list) or top of the league as champions if we have a 26 game (home and away) fixture list.

Catalans were in the top 8 last year, as were Castelford. They ended up playing each other at Murrayfield although both are relatively poor this year. We just got the luck of the draw with Salford. Wigan could have got Catalans.

You'd of laughed in someone's face if they told you 18months/2years ago we'd have the best defence in the league, second, winning ugly. All of them optimize a successful side, its quite something for us wires to get our heads around especially considering we are seen as such a great attacking side and not so defensively, its quite odd and not something we are used to.

I suppose its the mindset of many of us to think cut the errors down, complete the sets, don't offload in our half etc etc as we used to be side that gave easy tries but given the large improvements in our defensive structure, we have a much more secure sense about us. Teams now are having to work for their 4 points, which is easier to take rather than a simple walk in from dummy half. Listening to the radio on Friday night, the amount of times we dropped the ball against Salford, you'd think 'ohh god they're gunna score here, definitely on this set'. But it never materialised, we held out took our chances and got the 2 points which is essential at the moment. Consider 2 years back, 2008 Penny King landerson left edge in tatters, so many easy tries, pushing up and coming out the line, reading the wrong lines so many worries with it. Yet now we don't seem to have those defensive issues that linger in many sides.
