MoM was always going to be controversial. My choice was Monas because he ripped Quins apart around the ruck area and so many breaks were initiated by him. You could look at Chris Riley's 5 tries and then look at the providers. Gareth Carvell and Benny westwood never stopped running and Briers was into everything.

Quins m.o.m for me is Allibert for his try saving tackle then Orr

Monas ran the show for me. Everyone was good bar LAnderson who seemed to drop the ball every time it was passed to him.
Won't dwell on that though because we were fantastic and Myler just seems to appear from nowhere when people break the line.
Impressed with Bridge taking a big hit to the head and obviously dazed he still carried on, you wouldn't get that in wendyball.

it was a fantastic peformance from each and every Wire player today but Ben Harrison was absolutely awesome - he had the man of the match award wrapped up after 20 minutes.

Think that's going a bit far. An Andrew Johns or a Wally Lewis in his prime wouldn't be nailed on at this stage.

There was the comical pass to King that went nowhere near him too

it was a hell of a display from wood.. I cant remember him having a batter game than that... He was the pick of the forwards for me.

Briers totally ran the show, Monas looked deadly with ball in hand and was exceptional in defence...

In all honesty you could make a good case for 7-8 players for MOM

In the 14 previous Super League seasons only five players have scored 5 or more tries in a game (Vainikolo twice). For me this puts Rileys acheivement into context and despite how well just about everyone played it would be impossible to give the MotM award to anyone else.

Riley for the simple fact he scored 5, only one less than the SL record held by Vainikolo.
As everyone else has been saying, the whole team deserved an award for that display... (Quins were very poor though).

You played with 14 men and look at the scoreline. Defence was shocking and attack was clueless, out-muscled and out-classed in every department.

i expect this to be a different story down at twickenham!

Harrison will be a right nasty piece of work, he certainly does have something about it, its quite scary how well he has developed under Smith in the last year or so. Another cracking performance from 13 then moved to prop towards the end of the first half. Monaghan, for me is lightyears ahead of the player he was at 7. Far more suited and comfortable, he spots things, even just little things and it leads to a break. Riley did fantastic to score 5, kept his composure well. Bridge and Mathers looked great apart from throwing one daft pass each. Pwood was back to his old ways, Carvell can step like a centre, Morley never took a backwards step as usual, Westwood another terrific effort. Briers at his mastering best once again.


I couldn't decide. However, the Quins pack was very very bad.

How dangerous is Richie Myler? almost every break he was sniffing around and could easily have had 4 or 5 with a tad more luck.

i can see him getting hurt a few times this year with people taking him out on them supporting runs, he's getting knocked out about a lot without even having the ball, even the ref.

It was mega refreshing to have someone just sniffing around the ball, all the time. He's our 'fox in the box'.

He'll get 20 tries if he just follows Monas.

2. Briers kicks across field to King, out jumps opposition, try

I'll level with you, yesterday has done me. I normally like to think that I think about the game more than just sort of 'one game' knee jerk stuff.

Well, scrap that, in my mind today, we've won SL.

All joking aside, I've never seen us so dominant, so focused, so motivated. Not to mention so skilful, folk doing things I didn't think they had in them, forward showing the ball like halfbacks, runarounds, offloads [P.Wood time & time again.

It's almost like a different team, weird.

I know, I know, one performance, defeat at Cas blah, blah. Well, maybe that's right but for now, I'll enjoy yesterday, massively.

We have Cullen flair without the Cullen Defence, I'm like the team, take one game at a time when it comes to praise. We were frikin awesome, can't wait to destroy the stains this year hopefully home and away

i couldn't find a weak link yesterday,for the first time in a long time the desire and committment lasted for 80 minutes,the days of us folding in the last ten look like they are a thing of the past,it's early days but more performances like that and we will win plenty of games against anybody,personally i thought monas was outstanding.

If i wanted to be really unfair I'd say LAnderson was the weak link, if the game had been tight him or 'THAT' pass?? to King could have been the difference.

Mathers had two or three 'moments' as well.

A pass to King tha twe got a penalty from luckily was woeful, and he threw one on the deck like.

Oh, and when Alibert took out Myler, pin your ears back Richie, pin 'em.
