I'm certainly no fan of Sironen, but I agree with you here. Obvious late hits are bad news and need to be stamped out, but this one wasn't like that, it was split-second stuff.

The best or worst part of the disciplinary are the minutes. Nine times out of ten they bear absolutely no resemblance to what actually happened. Do they not realise that you can replay incidents in slow motion to see what raelly happened.

Footage is inconclusive, sounds like a cop out to me, or do we get clubs to put more than 1 camera on the game that is not covered by TV.

Just looked at our highlights and it’s all from one camera angle, I’m going to assume it’s the same for all clubs that are not the TV matches, wonder how much stuff is missed. HKR miffed Ratchford got nothing for the Parcell injury. Probably would have got pinged had it been a full TV game.

MRP minutes 'Contact was with the shoulder and slid up to the neck'. On the video the contact is the middle of his forearm to the face. It doesn't slide anywhere

This isn't true, I'm not sure how many cameras they have exactly but it is more than one. Hence why you see those videos emerge later from different angles, e.g. this week of Ashton's try from the corner he scored in.



They just don't have the editors/production set up to switch between angles on the highlights.

Saw the Tetavano one last night,it's bloody ridiculous. He's set to make the tackle when the ball runner still has the ball,less than 1m from the ball carrier ( who is still running ) like you say there is no way that can change,there simply isn't the time or the space to change it. They need to realize that when a smaller player runs into a bigger one then the smaller player is going to get put on his .

Tetavano was charged for a high tackle, Sironen for late contact on the passer.



I think the Sironen one was harsh but Tetevano drove his shoulder into Smith's face.

Redvee is very funny.... everything viewed through red n white tinted glasses...everyone is against them...everything is unfair...and basically their players should be free to do whatever they like in a game with total impunity. Lees is one of the biggest cheap shot merchants in the league at the moment...and yet the Stains can't see what everyone else sees. lol.

Lees has now had 11 different incidents referred to the disciplinary this season. Three for dangerous contact, three for high tackles, two for striking off the ball, one for head-butting, one for late contact, one for obstructing a runner. Total consequences - a two-match ban, a caution and a £250 fine. Whereas saying an inappropriate word gets you seven matches. Good system?

Yeh but lees is being picked on by the rfl...funny how it seems to be the same saints players nearly every week...
