I’m with you on this. I’m confident we are going to come good with Roberts at 7 once he’s fit. The conditions were unreal last night with a wind-chill of -10 or something and he’s never experienced anything like that before, especially whilst unfit and in a team that hasn’t clicked.

Let’s see what happens by the split. I’ve seen enough to know we won’t be easy beats this season and when we eventually click we will be a good team. Whether we do anything of significance this year is debatable, but I do believe we will one of the top teams next year.

Two tries apiece at Hull last night, playing away to a team that everyone believes will be a top team this year. We didn’t play well in attack yet we didn’t get out-scored. We WILL get better.

This team will struggle to make the 8’s this season.Predictable in attack as evidenced by our points average,boring to watch with 5 drives + then kick,to many individuals not upto SL standard + a half back partnership that must be the worst in the league at the moment.It’s Going be a long road back to the top.

Furthermore I think I've been the most supporting of Russell out of this forum this season.
I bigged up Sims and Atkins as our best prop and outside back last season.
I don't even recall me having a dig at Parton. Put it this way, I'd play him before Roberts atm. However I wouldn't play him at hb ahead of Ratchford and Brown...

totally agree with the duck move ratchit to hb with brown move roberts to dallam lane selling programmes..we looked far more dangerous with ratchit at hb on friday

If anything I've been most critical of Hill...giving away cheap penalties...however he wasn't the worst culprit...that was BMM.

totally understand your reasoning but having watched a hour of tripe served up at hull by this lot its only natural to voice anhonest opinion of what youve just watched...as for supporting the team we all do be it sat at home or in the stands..lets hope we as wire fans are posting good things about the team come 10 oclock friday night

Appreciate the lad still looks crocked and it is a new country, new club, new team (both for him and us), new management setup, new competition with different styles of play BUT I would like to see more glimpses of class than the odd nugget we have seen so far. IF Roberts is match fit or not isn't the issue for me. It's his decision making that's miles off and that will be the same no matter how much he improves his fitness.

Based on what I've seen he's another Rodwell as damning as that may be. Livett is not the answer to any of our problems

Anyone writing Roberts off hasn't seen him play when fit. He is one of the best halves in the world defo top 5/6 in the Nrl last year but because he hasn't hit the ground running and set the HJ on fire in his first few games lets slate him. It makes me laugh how people can be so accurate without any knowledge

I think we're all aware of his fitness or lack of it.
My query is his inclusion in the team while his condition is closer detrimental than 'setting the HJ alight'...or any other ground for that matter.
That's why I'm pinning hopes that he's a Trent Barratt at worse.

You can’t be talking about Barrett at Wigan, he was a sensation for us and certainly never looked lazy or overweight. Maybe I’m missing a joke.

If Tyrone Roberts (or any halfback in superleague) has half as good a season as Barrett did for us in 2008/2009 he’ll be going very well.

I think what was meant was that Barrett was good even though he didn’t quite reach his NRL reputation.

So if Roberts can look half as good as what he did in he NRL we’ll have one of he better half-backs in the league.

Yes a sensation, well very good for sure....but when he first arrived he was out of shape, and there was plenty unhappy pies for a period.

That's where I make the comparison...I hope Roberts is the Wire version of Barrett.

One or 2 half decent kicks but Rocket Rodwell had more heart that Roberts is showing presently.
