Bridge's wife will be EVEN MORE orange, if they move to Widnes

As a Warringtonian I am genetically programmed to be unable to wish good luck to anything Widnes, However I will remember Chris's performances where he almost single handedly defeated teams, Bradford and Huddersfield away for example. His length of the field try against Wigan away years ago.

Thanks for everything Chris, you've been a Wire great.

Now, seems the right time for him to move on. I won't begrudge him scoring the sole Widnes try next easter in a 60-4 win for the Wire.

Injuries increasingly playing their part but still a few good years left in him although the likes of King and Currie have to be the future. Time catches up.

All the best to you Chris. Will miss seeing those flick passes to the winger but not as much as our wingers. An impossible statistic to find but I wonder how many tries he has put his winger in for it cant be a coincidence that our and the leagues top try scores have kept coming from outside him.

Maybe now it'll be finally revealed why he should have been sent off at Huddersfield?

Maybe the most important thing Chris Bridge did for us was kick the equalising goal in the 2009 Challenge Cup QF at Hull KR to take it into extra time. Touchline with the home crowd behind him. I was in line with the kick and it was like an arrow, but in his usual no fuss chip kick style. What a day.

Been a good player for us over the ten years. Was outstanding for three or four of those seasons. Good luck, well maybe not actually, I hope he plays well for Widnes but they lose every week!

Bridgey has served us well over the years and we have well got our money's worth for the £30,000 we paid Bradford for him in 2005.

Never think any of our lads should ever sign for Widnes though!!!

Overall Bridge has been great for us

I thought it was nearer £20k but what's 10 between friends?!
His fee was unbelievably low and Nobby rated him so highly but Bulls had just about had enough of his off field issues.
The same issues we allegedly faced 2 or 3 times later.

Yes, Bridge has had some off the field problems since his move but he seems settled with his family now. Last big push for the league in Super 8's before he goes into mediocrity with them next season.

My favourite memory was when he returned to Bradford with us for ,i think, his first game against Bradford for the Wire....Nat Wood & Lee Briers both injured during the match & Bridgey & John Clarke destroyed Bradford.

A decent player for us who gave his all.. I cant help but think he could have been so much more though.... Injuries obviously played a part.

Strong runner, quick, great hands, solid defence, brilliant step, great eye for a gap.... Bridge had the lot... He just never managed to bring it all together and maintain it over a period of time.

Risky business signing for Widnes at the minute considering their league position, form and no Kevin Brown.

Enjoyed watching Chris over the years, and wish him all the best. Just hope he's playing in Super League next season (though that would mean not at Widnes).

His low point for us probably came against a Hull team too, but the other one, in the 2013 semi final.

I know he's struggled for consistency over his career but Chris Bridge, when playing in the centre is one of my favourite non saints players. I think he's top quality and if he'd had a smother run with injuries etc I think he'd have racked up a lot of caps. He has that canny ability to get on his marker's outside before they've realised it.

I hope he gets a decent last run at Widnes.
