Seriously all teams will be looking to improve and we need to improve more to compete. We could start by sorting out our backs.

I would really welcome the signing of Savelio but would not be happy losing Dwyer, especially to a rival like Saints.

This rumour may have legs.......with Saints recently releasing their back-up hooker Doug Charnock to Barrow.

I've followed Sav all thru the system at Saints and he's a very good player. I tipped him to be a top player when he was 15 and posted it on our board before most even heard of him.

He's nothing like Currie in terms of playing style but he can just be effective as him in his own style. You won't see Sav making 40m plus clean breaks or using his pace to chase back like Currie does but he will make big meters, attract players because of his power that will create space, he will bust tackles etc.

I don't want him to leave but he's been in the same bracket as Travis Burns at Saints and been a KC scape goat when things don't go well.

It's well documented that Sav wants to play backrow but imo he's not a second row as he struggles defensively on the edges as he gets caught flat footed in defence. Imo he's more the 13 style prop as he is a big lad (Lost few pounds last pre season tho).

He will be top signing and no doubt be in nrl in few years

I think AS is at best coming off the bench. He can be unplayable at times when fresh. Against a weakened opposition he could fill in as a classic type ball playing prop(not a turn around at the mere sight of a defender, stick my booty out into their belly, lean over and throw it out, type of ball player) as well as opening play wider as a 2nd rower.

Jack Hughes is more of a cast off than Crosby and he turned out ok for you didn't he?

According to today's league express we are announcing is signing this week.

It will be interesting to see how TS plays him on the park and how the shape of the team will play out, as he is certainly not a direct replacement for Currie.

While TS is in New York and Draper slung his hook, I doubt we will hear anything official soon.

What did Draper have to do with any signings?

Our 17 is starting to look very nice, adding Crosby, Cooper and Savelio to the pack without losing anyone of note. Just need a centre to replace Evans and we could have a very good season.

I'd like to keep Dwyer ... but I do have one reservation and that is to do with his stamina. He only seems to play for very short bursts. Very lively for ten minutes.
