Given his recent injuries, it would be interesting to know if they've signed him on a pay as you play contract, so if he does his shoulder in again then we don't pay him.

Either way I reckon the size of his contract will have taken the injury into account.

PC seemed to me to have a policy of not signing players that were injury prone and getting rid of them if they did - Wilshire/Cardiss spring to mind, but then seemed to go away from that.
I think you've got to take each case as it comes along on it's own merits. Arguably with PJ and Rau going we've got less injury prone players.

Funny though how some clubs (eh Hull) always seem to have major issues at the start of the season - could be to do with their training techniques.

But surely we'll miss the heart stopping excitement/pain of the will he/won't he get the ball away.

If you look at teams in the top 8 all have impact players who come off the bench and trun games around.

All players who can change a game and Solomona did it for Bradford and now he will be important to us. Its a very decent signing given he will have another 2-3 months off and then back to work with Warrington.

Danny Sculthorpe is now no more than average and would bring baggage with him, his Father.

As far as David Solomona goes.......I.T.S.W.T

Solomona can win games on his own, providing he is fit. He is by far the best ball handling forward in the game bar none, with a great short kicking game. But i think his shoulder is well and truly gone.

solo could prove to be our most inspiring signing since nat wood imo.

Atkins - Not impressed, always though he was vastly over-rated but lets see what he can do.

Solomona - will either be awesome of gash. No in between. Worried about the injurie, discipline and the fact he can be a liability but if he fires and does it consistently he will be a great weapon.

Myler - A risk. 200K for essentially an unproven player is a lot of money when you consider its almost half the world record transfer fee. If it comes he will be a great player and the focal point of the team for the best part of a decade.

He's like a better version of Rauhihi.. He can pass, kick and doesn't offload just because he can.

If he carries on like he did yesterday he will be a real asset. It also looks like his ball handling skills are being copied by some of the other forwards. He could easily turn out to be the signing of the season.

really impressed by solomona. atkins just looked like he wanted a fight yesterday but again put in a solid performance, i think he consistently puts inb a solid performance and hardly makes mistakes what makes him a good asset to have

any news on how talks with Hull KR are going along?

a few weeks ago there was a bloke on here who said Solomona was joining Rovers because he'd had a bust up with Tony Smith. Are the talks progressing well?

Best bit about that was the KR fans saying they didn't want him... Not good enough.

I'm more than happy with the signing.
