Doesn't look like Monaghan is enjoying his rugby over here, he started off quite well last season but has since gone Backwards rapidly. Also his kicking game is woefull, after watching him in his last season at Manly he always wanted the ball was always the go to man on the last tackle even when Orford was on the pitch, such as good his kicking was. I think he should be allowed to leave at the end of the season if he's so unhappy or we need to cut our losses if his performances don't pick up. Darren Lockyer is the man i'd like to see at 6 next year even if is only for a season, he's still world class at 33-34, and lets face it every wire fan would loved to have had Joey over here for a season even when he would have been 35.

Well I thought he was excellent at weekend. So clean slate and everything, I'm looking forward to watching him again and also what he can do with a decent coach over him.

Big hopes came when Monaghan signed for Warrington and in all honesty has been as bad as sullivan was when he was here..

Cullen signed him as a Half back when he is a hooker all hands down.. his last year in the NRL was at Hooker so why change it ?? Becasue he thought Super League would be a easy stroll in the park well ill be glad when he's gone.. 2 new half backs needed ASAP ..

1st 4 or 5 games he was outstanding, but went pretty plop quickly, he was even leading the Albert Goldthorpe table in the league express for a while!

The one thing you can't criticize Managhan for his his tackling. I think he's the best pound for pound tackler we have.

Ive never rated him and most people will think i'm just saying that but i haven't

even when he was top on the Albert Goldthorpe standings i didn't think much of him

He has been a BIG disappointment considering he was Joey Johns replacement

We've not had a decent scrum half for years

unfortunately we can level enormous criticism at the rest of his game,his surly misdemeanour doesn't endear him to the fans either.
overall he has been a disappointment.

I'm loving the comedy of suggesting Chris Bridge can play either 6 or 7. He's an injury prone centre and will never amount to much more.

I guess when the going gets tough...suppose we will see what he is really made of in the next few months?

I wouldn't say all was revealed....there's an interview with Monaghan on the site but nowhere in the interview was he asked about the stories of him going home.

Seemed like he was giving Gary standard professional player answers which any member of the squad would, but he didn't look particularly enthusiastic about the situation. He probably wants out but knows nobody can afford to pick his contract up.

TS has got a big task on his hands with Monaghan but he's not the type to be intimidated by players. When he took over at Leeds, Gary Connolly and Matt Adamson were two big players in the dressing room and had been good performers in 2003, but Smith gradually froze them out when he decided they weren't going to take his team forwards.

Lets face it there have been stories surrounding several players not being happy and wanting to go home - Mona's was honest enough to say he has struggled to settle in with the different lifestyle but he seems prepared to roll up his sleeves and get on with the job in hand.

Lets face it...he just doesn't like living in the UK. The blokes on his way.
