Just a minute, ten tries in 10 games is pretty good. His career record is pretty good. Let the lad sort himself out in the next couple of weeks and he'll finish the season somewhere near the top of the SL try scoring list.

Played for Rochdale today along with Philbin. Scored a try. Let's hope this was the kick in the pants he needed.

Just had a recap through this topic. Although early on, raising concerns alarmed a few posters, it transposed that we were unfortunately on the money.

He's not the most agile of wingers but scores trys, none of our wingers are particularly defencively sound key often shoots in too early. I think it's his attitude that has seen him droppednot necessarily his performances.

Hopefully this will bring him back down to earth and he can knuckle down and really kick on. I think we need to calm ourselves here he's on course for 30+ trys this season yet some are still moaning!! An observation from the widnes game only one try scored on opposite wing to Kev, without lineham on other wing we lose a massive try threat. I believe what we gain in attack with him outweighs his defensive shortcomings. He has signed for a fee, in a new town and probably on more money too, if this.is his blip then it's been nipped in the bud early and hopefully it will spur him on to fight for his spot back.

He's still very young and will get better with experience. Ryan Hall was of similar ability at the same age.

That was a good result for the Hornets. apparently this was a very bad tempered match. Alan Kilshaw was very critical of some of the Toulouse tactics and one of their players was put on report for biting.

Well, now you've resurected the thread duckie, I STILL can't make my mind up.

I've always said (in any sport) never drop/sell a scorer. The lad does what he"s paid to do. Score tries. However, his "efforts" in defence and general play, leave a lot to be desired.
The ones I feel sorry for, are Smith and Moran. Smith, for going to Moran and asking him to buy TL, and Moran for giiving Hull £150,000 (in an era where tranfer fees are as rare as Thursfield tries).
I'd say that there's a lot of collective egg on faces, regarding Lineham (including himself). That "effort" for the try down his wing, was, at best, poor.

The best thing about the whole wing situation, is that our best winger, is Kevin Penny, who has been pilloried since 2008. There's time for Lineham to reach the standards that we (the fans and club) desire.

I thought both Lineham and Bailey looked to have slimmed down and toned up.

In the first half, Lineham actually gave Solomona the outside and nailed him, taking him into touch. I recall the incident specifically because, such was my shock, I over-dunked a Rich Tea biscuit and ruined a perfectly good cuppa.

Fortunately, one fresh brew and about 15 mins later normality was restored when he got totally done for pace, in a manner I've not seen done as convincingly since some 80 year old dear elbowed me out of the way, sherry glass in hand and stockinged-legs going like pistons, at last orders in the Bulls Head.

It's odd that the fitness of the squad seems to have improved on.last seasons yet his seems to have regressed a little.

He started the game reasonably, when he took ball from Russell I thought right he.is up fir this but just faded out and seemed like was knackered before first half was over.

People Ave made a lot of gidley poor attempt on moores I'd say his attempt or lack of it for solomonas try was ten times worse for me didn't venue look bothered.

Has to be up there with Asotasi in terms of what he offers the side.

I cannot understand why we signed him, and paid money. The guy is a unit and cant tackle for toffee, and he has no pace and doesn't even seem to want to play, I haven't seen him play a decent game yet. Not good, we need to be getting better players, I can't understand what is going wrong with the recruitment of our team, its the same year on year

I can't understand why we signed players with serious injuries like Dodds, Wheeler & Bailey although the jury is obviously still out on Bailey's eventual contribution to the Wire. Add to that long term injuries to Harrison ,Grix ,Ben Evans & Laithwaite & it is easier to see why we are struggling with lack of available player rotation.

Yes I agree Nine, we have Bailey back now, but Wheeler and Dodds are known for being injury prone. Perhaps Mr Smith needs to take up the offer from Catalan to Koukash on recruitment tips!
