Quite correct. If anyone plays magnificently in the last four games and got MOS it would cause uproar especially if they havent played well for the previous 23 rounds.

The award lacks any credibility precisely because it seemingly fails to take into account the Play-Off series which identifies those players that perform under pressure.

Looking at the last 10 years MOS winners is clear evidence.

theres a few..westwood very under rated..monas if he played near enough 80 minutes(ala roby)each week...overall platic pat should be favourite and rightly so...as for andy murray lookalike,if he wins it then mathers should be a close 2nd

It's only natural that most fans will select a players from their own team for MOS as those are the players you watch week in week out. That's why Wigan fans will say Richards/Lockers, Wire will say Morley/Moneghan.

All i have to say on the subject is MOS is voted for by the players, i understand you can't vote for anyone from your own club therefore whoever gets it will thoroughly deserve it.

What a load of rubbish, its not the award for the best play off player, its about the player that has performed throughout the entire season..

As an above poster says fans will generally think a player from their own team should win it. Personally I would love for Morley to get it and he has a good chance.

Richards and Lockers will be in with a good shout and only the most bitter Wire fan would argue if they won it.

Before his injury I also thought Amos Roberts would have had a chance too.

I don't think Richards will win it. I think it's between O'Loughlin and Morley.

Richards will win top try scorer by quite a distance if his form keeps up.

how can they give it morley, a player who is cited every week at the disaplinery. in 25 games i bet he has been called up more than any other player.

his 'disaplinery' record is superb this season.

and he is currently the best prop in super league.

For us Lockers and Joel would be up there as contenders but the press have jumped on the Richards band wagon because of his points scoring record! Not that he doesnt deserve it!
Lockers though for me would be my man of steel!

As for Morley you cant argue thats hes got to be up there but as already stated most fans will see the positive arguement for their own player!
There will be some blinkered Wire fans who will moan if a Wigan player wins and some blinkered Wigan fans should a wire player win!
To be fair whoever wins it will deserve it now that its the players vote!!
