I don't think he looked dis-interested at all, he always tries his hardest and I want him to do well due to him being so enthusiastic but last night his 2 errors could have cost us the game. Whether I would drop him next week is a tough one, because I think if you drop him for one game then he won't play again this season because his confidence will go down...

The decision was fine. The advantage was taken when the Wigan player kicked it through.

As for Mathers, he's just not good enough for a team with the ambitions Warrington have. He is a complete and utter liability and a player who has zero intelligence. The mistakes he makes are comical and pretty much always in dangerous positions.

I try to stick up for him as much as i can but he just seems cursed or something. The knock on which let to richards try i can get over as it could of happened to anyone but how he managed to lose the ball which nearly lead to a farell try i will never know.

Think ritchie had a poor game last nite,
similar to Brett Hodgson several weeks ago in the challenge cup(SORRY WIGAN)only hodgson came back stronger,mathers really does make some terrible decissions at times almost schoolboy errors but thats how he plays the game...he doznt try and play badly sometimes it comes naturally to him.

I think it's the stadium,Mathers is jinxed there.

There must be a witch somewhere who follows a Super League team going round putting a curse on poor Ritchie in just about every stadium he has the misfortune to play in.

I just think there is a more simple solution. He isn't the brightest of blokes, all Brylcreem and 'how big are me guns, do ya fancy me?". He must also have been one of those kids at school who just couldn't catch. You wouldn't have him at slip for the village cricket team would you.

Nothing wrong with his catching yesterday, in fact in those conditions he did exceptionally well, he's just rubbish at diving onto balls. It's not the first time he's made that exact mistake he made last night.

Of all the players at Wire who have played centre this season who would swap any of them for Gleeson ?

Gleeson is a good centre i'm not slagging him off, it's just we got rid at the right time, we have better players in better form.

Remember we did this without Bridge who has been very good and consistent all season.

I wouldn't swap Gleeson for any of them.

Atkins took a month or so to settle in but he's been excellent, King has continued to show his quality and Bridge has been outstanding.

Am I the only person who saw the ball rolling towards the Warrington line after Mathers, who was also facing and moving towards the Warrington line, touched it. There was no advantage required as it wasn't a knock on, the ball was clearly knocked backwards. If Joel Thompkins* had been thinking about what he was doing at the time, rather than where he could get his next cheap shot in, wigan could have walked the ball over the line.
