| Been there, done that lol, Saints by the skin of their teeth. Can't fathom how Roby's was a try, he loses the ball onto Harrison, which should mean the play is dead, he then gets it back and scores. Think we threw some panic balls at the end there, Philbins attempt to Myler being the main one, 3rd tackle there in their 20. We got over the line twice in the same set there and just couldn't get the ball down.
That sending it up as a try or no try burnt us today, and other year that Atkins try is benefit of the doubt, this year, somebody who isn't sure about what even happened sends it up as a no try, have some balls and either give it or you don;'t.

| The referee was a ing disgrace in that first half. And I thought the Sky team were a ing disgrace all night, CONSTANTLY picking on the negatives!
The game was good overall. Two good teams playing mostly reasonably decent rugby with some flashes of brilliance and some flashes of sheeyite.
Our kicking game was too hit and miss and Saints' was spot on and we missed the odd too many tackles more; that was the difference.
Shouldn't have kicked for two at 12-14!
Saints tries: Roby knock on? possibly not, think Harrison dislodged it; Maseo try, Greenwood definitely knocked on on the play before!; winning try, Percival tackled on the floor and offloads from the floor with a man on top of him? dunno, I'd like to see it again.

| unlucky tonight....could have gone either way.....Philbin scores and we win....and he should have scored. The Roby try was never ever a try...he knocked on.
Never mind....if we keep that intensity for the remainder of the season we might make the top four and we will play at Wembley.

| Gob can kick goals but the rest of his kicking game is diabolical.
I cannot understand why TS took Dwyer off when we were so effective in attack whilst he was on.
Even if TS decision was valid, Dwyer was reintroduced far too late for him to make a difference.

Percivals pass was legitimate, he sat down on his ass but released it before his elbow touched the floor. I have an issue with the Quinlan pass though, looked forward.
We had a try rubbed out for a forward pass, another for a ball steal, and twice more with Hill held up over the line and Philbin having the ball knocked out. 4 potential scores that would have seen us home and dry.

| Only ourselves to blame in that game. Robys try wasn't but still shouldve won and won by a few but things looking much better.

| as wirewirewire has said on another night we win easily with those tries that were missed. fair play to Saint never give up attitude in defence...it saved two certain tries.
Who was video ref?...he needs sacking..the Roby decision was shocking.

You've had your little moment in the sun for a couple of seasons, now it's time to step aside and let the real big clubs fight it out.
Fingers crossed we get you at Wembley. Be nice to see another close loss for you at our hands, on the big stage.

Correct. Add in Rusell and Ormsby cocking up the high kick which led to Masoe scoring and us failing to control the start of the set where Saints scored the winning try. They will be kicking themselves - should have won that game by 15-20 points. I thought Philbin ran some good lines tonight but he should have scored.

| Philbin ran good lines yes but was totally pants at goal line attack. He should have hammered that ball down so hard, Sandow would have had to bring it back.

| Philbin definitely had an uneven game. Hit good lines but the end of them he fluffed it up trying to offload, don't blame him for the last tackle play, it's not his job to kick. Not sure he can be blamed for the no try either, he had the ball held just fine, Turner punched the ball out and they're lucky Flanagan got to it before Russell.
Harrison ran his blood to water but lord he looks so unfit, half the time he might as well be running around on stumps with the way his legs are holding up.

| Slapped his own man on the back nothing in it. No point moaning we lost that ourselves but we're certainly looking like a top four side and a quality half back away from winning the comp. We've more chance of a trophy this year than saints I'll wager.

| We had has blown chances to win the game but I think we were flat out to win it, it looked like Saints never had to get out of 2nd gear, and the players looked like they always knew they would win it. Just in the same way we always did in 2011.

| Did Saints win 2 points tonight, or the Challenge Cup final? Their fans seemed to celebrate the latter. Beating a team by 6 points that they should have blown off the park after that inept 1st half display. Is that what it's come down to? Wow, how far have they fallen celebrating that kind of victory in the way that they did.....

We certainly wouldn't be getting chufty badges over the Challenge Cup. It's the reaction any set of fans would make winning in the final minute at a rival club. We didn't play well, bar Roby, Walmsley and Masoe and to pinch the win was fantastic. Mentioned on Sky we only had 1 (ONE) play the ball in your 20 tonight and we won the game. Guts, determination and pride in the shirt, all things to get the fans pumped.

| Saints are the better team TS had let our team slip over the last 3 seasons. We were flat out trying to win it, which is good to see, but highlights out weaknesses.
It was so clear to see them tonight, and the same weakness we've discussed over and over.

But that contradicts what your fans are saying on Twitter. You know twitter, don't you? The place where you were criticizing Stuart Pyke for for saying Child's ruining the game, yet last week you wanted Thaler struck off due to the ineptitude of his performance. If the shoe fits, and all that. You don't half talk some garbage.

I thought Childs had a good game personally. Rampant indiscipline in the first half hour, it would be hard for anyone to argue with the validity of the vast majority of those decisions. Too many hands in, knees in at the play the ball.

It was slightly strange, but other than that not much of an issue. Not sure what he was intending to do with that, but the contact was on poor Greenwood.

| im not overly bothered.... we were brilliant tonight... on another day with a few decisions we would have won the game.
we have come along way from the team that showed itself the first half of the season.... we have come along way since HKR
for me, this season hinges on the challenge cup.... i think we really can win it now.
im not d about the grand final..... we have a great set of young players and we will be guns blazing over the next few years.
