you know what, if we could get him just for the rest of this season, then yeah, this year is pretty bolloxed up and at the moment, i can't confidently say we'll be anywhere near A final. So just for s n giggles, why not, he's someone i would build a team around but for trying to entertain me, lets chuck the handgrenade (sandow) into the room(the squad) and shut the door(no metaphor here) and see what happens.

I think he'd light up SL. If we pair up the off the cuff style, pace and excitement of Sandow with the hard work, grit and structure that Gidley would bring I think that would be a great partnership.

Sandow is only 26 as well.

Lee Briers was very off the cuff on many occurrences.

Plus we'd be royally entertained with him. He's a joy to watch when playing well and he would be shut down nearly as much over here as he is in Aus. He'd be a highlight reel every week in SL.

How true are the rumours though, I never believe these things until they happen anymore.

Having just watched a highlights reel of his, he isn't half bad..

Can kick goals, kick in play, kick dropgoals, create gaps from nothing, he's fast and he can tackle.

I don't watch NRL much though so I don't know how his average performances are.

I'd be really excited to have a world class player like Sandow joining. What a partnership that could turn out be with Gidley.

Who told you he is world class?

He has a world-class attitude problem. The 2 NRL clubs that cancelled his contract for disciplinary reasons told me.

If he's 7th on the current Daily M list, then he's likely to be. Unless there are only 6 or less world class players, ranked above him (barring sl players).

This year? Why not. Nothing to lose.
And if he plays well THEN give him a contract for next year linked to behaviour (on and off the field) and perfromance on the field.

I hope he isn't a Jarrod Sammut as he was excellent far few times, and a liability far too much of the time.
