Not really the rules are there at the start and everyone knows what the script is! Leeds have slowly been improving all season and have now reached both finals so hardly mediocre!

Leeds defence was awesome at times they got numbers in the tackle and were physical. They didnt give Wire much field position through easy yards and gave themselves a chance to be in the game.

Wire looked like the pressure was on them and didnt produce their usual with the ball. Sure they will be back up there again next season, hopefully Huddersfield will be more of a threat come play off time and we can have a league with 5 teams who can realistically win it!!

Unlucky Wire, was really rooting for you last night but just wasn't to be. Think the week off was detrimental for you as you have been on a great roll before it. Still you can take solace in being the best team throughout the season regardless of the GF winner.

As a Leeds fan I know how you are feeling but what a great game. Tony Smith is a great coach and you will get to and win a Grand Final at some point soon. This game hung in the balance all the way and was played in the true spirit of our great game.

Hard luck. As a Wigan fan it's hard for me to say this but you guys deserved more from your season. As we were reminded constantly (until we got the gf too) the league leaders, despite in my opinion being the award to be most proud of, isn't worth a thing.

Chin up you'll probably do it next year just glad you seem to have seen the worth of Riley now he's a great young player who I'd have at Wigan in a heartbeat. We have been to the semis and lost a fair few times in recent years and it hurts so i know how it feels you guys have a lot to be proud of this year you've proved yourself as a force and moving forward if we can both get rid of our trolls on these boards you'll begin to earn the respect we give saints in time.

After playing like you have all season Its a shame you didn't make it. Hopefully you can take some positives away from this and have more experience to get you through the playoffs next year. To be perfectly honest I'm glad that If we do get through to the final we won't be playing you, Because I think you could have torn us a new one...

Wire will be gutted not to make the GF. played well all year but seamed to get bad nerves in the big games with something at stake.

Get that sorted wire and u could win the GF.

But with allot of experienced player coming to the end i dont know where ur going to get the experience from.

Unlucky last night. This play off system is awful. You have been best most consistent team all year, only to lose one game by two points and be out of it completely!
The top 5 system was so much better. top team got a week off, had to win one game and they were in the final, and at least had to lose 2 to be knocked out.
This needs looking at.

You've had a great season and played some fine, entertaining rugby. Tough luck to lose a game that could have gone either way. i still believe that the league winners should be crowned champions and the play offs should be a separate competition.
Not everyone in Wigan wants to take the mickey. We've been close ourselves many times and it's hard to take. Your team has nothing to be ashamed of as they have been a credit to the game all season.

Amazing game. One to save to DVD that one, and one to show off the game of RL. Ding, dong, bong, bang, smash, crash. Any other week and Wire would have had it in the bag by half time, the breaks they made usualy lead to points, but the nerves seem to have hit them . It was a hell of a game, and that wire team is a hell of a team as the table and points scored and against shows.

Anyway, I'm not here to troll, I thought it was a great match, as others have said a great advert for RL, nothing too dubious with the officiating, it was fast paced, entertaining spectacle. Unfortunately there could only be one winner and it just wasn't your night; I think to blame 'inexperience'/nerves would be fair, as you certainly looked unsettled for large swathes of that (completely at odds with how you've played this season).

Anyway, always next years, but even so this has have been one your most successful seasons so far (in SL) winning the LLS is no mere achievement regardless of what the muppets say.

A bit sad really to see wire knocked out. It just goes to show the whole playoff system needs looked at. There is a chance that a team some 13 points behine top spot can become classed as the champions. A bit unfair I say. The leaders at the end of the year should be the champions and the playoffs just be a seperate trophy.
Still you had an excellent year and can only get better from here.
