There's almost unanimous agreement that our forwards are not good enough and also other areas too. We have players who have survived 2 coaches already. When we stop blaming a coach for players not being good enough ?

I don't think that the club have wrote this season off but are happy to use it to get Powell's style embedded into the club rather than players as 16 are out of contract and I think this is the window for Powell to make the changes and redistribute the cap better.

Looking through the list of ooc players at the end of the year, we have 16 and there's only a few I would want to hold onto. Even some of those would be on reduced terms. So theres possibly big changes coming and s lot of cap space available.

Today was going to be extra tough with players missing and we won't win every game but for this season I will not be blaming Powell for performances we've seen since the last 2 seasons under Smith !!! When we're changing coaches and not seeing changesin performance it's the players that are the problem. I personally would be disappointed to see less than 8 players leaving at the end of the year.

Why do clubs continually underestimate Wakefield Trinity?

They beat "big" clubs year in, year out.

They are rarely, despite social media guff, in any danger of relegation.

While ever teams prepare with the mentality of "it's just Wakey", Wakey will continue to beat those teams.

Whether a load are leaving at the end of the season or not these performances aren't good enough. You'd think a player who is presumably wanting another professional contract whether here or elsewhere, would want to put in performances worthy of an offer being out in to him.

Nevermind those who are out of contract, Who do we have that is performing? Who looks like they're hurting with the performances? Cooper, walker, Ashton, thewlis. Any advance on those? Butler was OK, he performed better than mulhern or Philbin have all season which makes a mockery of him having to wait until injuries for a chance.

Thewlis will probably get a run at fullback now, it will e good to have Charnley back as well.

OK I didnt WANT us to get a drubbing, obviously I wanted us to win.

But when the game started slipping away from us, I did think it would become a drubbing, much like the oft remembered defeat at quins in smiths early days.

I'd much rather have a big bang of a result to get coach/management's attention that this isn't working, than continuing with 'death by a thousand sabrecuts'

Therein lies the problem. Regardless of the result and scoreline yesterday, next week or at anytime in the season, the management won't do a thing because they are as weak and insipid as the players.

Powell is obviously a very competitive man and he was clearly gutted by that performance.

Middleton and Moran are very succesful businessmen who wouldn't be as rich as they are without being ruthless.

I don't know why we can't translate that into success on the pitch. Well, not the success we all crave.

Just read his quotes in the Warrington Guardian under the headline "Fans within their rights to boo". I am impressed with his style having been sick of hearing his excuses when he was Cas coach. A refreshing honesty.

I should think the answer to Fitzpatrick's efforts will be Wizzy Rascal stunt driving on the pitch while Jedward perform their greatest hit. On the pitch maybe going back to basic rugby would help & the team all seeming to be on the same page.

It may sound bizzare having made that observation but I’m as big of a fan of this club than anyone. However , I am realistic and Moran , Middleton and the rest of this board have given everything they could and more. We have failed but not for the want of trying Be careful what you wish for !!

The vanity project of spending big money has to stop unless the player adds true value. It has no effect and it builds a resentment . We are all human it has to . How would you feel earning probably £200k a year less than someone who doesn’t give a and performs so badly ( Widdop)

Probably a gimmick is his biggest weapon this week RD. Any sudden buys would be cup tied.
Unfortunately ,we have a depleted squad through various reasons & just have to see what performance they put up. Anybody to put a spark in the performance would be welcome.
